Very charming art and good music! I'm personally not a fan of this kind of story, but I personally appreciate the effort and the meaning you put behind it. I liked the ideas of the puzzles, although i've had some problems with the controls, because I often moved two ghosts instead of just the one I wanted to really move. As for the final room, I've tried to press the escape button multiple times, but nothing happened, so I suppose that was not the solution. As any good gamer would do, I pushed every button on the keyboard, until I accidentaly quit the game, oops!  Maybe I've pressed the right button? I think the idea was nice, though. Congrats on the entry, good job!

Developer

The problem of moving to pieces it's a problem I encountered at the end and it was too long to fix for the jam, I have a circle area to detect interactions, every interactable that enters gets put in an array so if you're to close to two ore more, then it will move the next...
This should be fixed changing the area to a raycast and taking account facing direction...

Did you played in the browser? It is strange that that happened with the final room...

And thank you for your kind feedback!

Yes, I played on the browser so maybe that's the cause of the problem. The raycast should fix the first issue, I agree.

Really nice art! And the puzzles were pretty fun too. The dialog system (with sound effects) was really well made, although I wish it wouldn't repeat every time I reset (or at least be easily skipped?). I have no idea what this universe is, but the overall style and story was interesting to follow.  The main bedroom had a spooky vibe to it, very atmospheric.

I did indeed have to use your spoiler to beat the last level though.

Developer

Yes I didn't have time to save the dialog states sadly... and the final puzzle may be a little overkill.

Thanks for the great positive feedback! :)

Couldn’t figure out what to do in the big room. I found an escape but trying exit it many times didn’t work. I couldn’t find another one though, so I just gave up.

I also had problems with the Linux build (same as the other person reported) but was also able to get the Windows build running with wine.

I did enjoy some of the puzzles, though, and there were a lot of charming aspects to it, particularly between the audio and art.

Nice job!

I was unable to find the reason why my linux exports are failling, I think I'm gonna have to add the web build that right now is hidden in my project because it also has some issues... sorry for that.

Also, there is more people struggling with the final room so I just added a spoiler section in the itch.io page with the solution :)

Thank you for playing!!!

Great art style and sound design, felt like being in a surreal dream. I found a few of the puzzles to be challenging, and aside from taking me a minute to figure out I had to press E to talk I found the controls to be very intuitive. Great job for only 5 days of work.

Developer

Yes I think i will put it in the game page for now you're right.
Glad you liked the art style, thank you! :)

I think there is an issue with the linux build (tested on ubuntu 20), after clicking play I'm stuck on a blue screen with white particles (and when running from terminal there's some errors)

Submitted(+1)

The windows build seems to work on linux via wine though!

Developer

Thank you for taking the effort , and thanks for playing!! :)

Developer

I am looking in to it, thanks, and sorry for the bug

Pretty crazy Sokoban-like game…. I just loved it, great work.

Not exactly family friendly :D, but the game plays well and has interesting puzzles! Difficult at points due to the ability to get stuck with the pinning problem (getting pinned into corners by butterflies), but overall I liked the game!

Developer(+1)

Yep not family friendly at all ahhahaha!! But just bad words.

Yes I tried to solve the pining problem for some time but eventually decided to let it go and put the Restart button... little brain.

Thank you for playing!

I like your take on 'escape' and the ties between the story themes and gameplay. I couldn't figure out the last(?) room, but the puzzles were okay, too.

Also, the character sprites are really expressive and I wanted to finish the game in case there were more in the ending :)

Developer(+1)

Yep the end "puzzle" is more of a thinking WHAT to do than an actual visual puzzle like the previous ones... You have to listen to Bea!! jaja. Thanks for your feedback :)
