Interesting concept. Sad that you didn't get to expand it more into a game with win and lose conditions. If you're taking suggestions, I would go with something like a 3D Motherlode, digging for ore and selling them to upgrade equipment :)

I defintely want to see how this turns out in the future!

Definitely a cool game and I love the look of it, but it would be nice to have a bit more of a goal to it. I like a meditative sandbox game, but it still needs a bit more variety. Really great idea and theme, and it would be really fun with more work on it.

I like the idea and feel of the game! Sad that you didn't get to finish it, maybe push an update after the jam?

It certainly has a lot of potential! Well done!

Developer

Thank You very much!
I'm happy for Your comment. And I agree, it's bit sad, I didn't get to a point where I wanted.
Gonna do that push! ;)

First of all, good randomly generated cave you got there.

However I felt like it needs a little bit more of a goal to make it an actual game.

Perhaps you should include a reason to dig new tunnels, like for example you need to open a path to connect a miner to their precious gold or gem, or you are trapped in a cave and need to dig your way out.

Just adding a goal I feel it would make your game more fun.

But keep trying and keep them coming.

Hey, Thanks for the supportive comment!

You're right, it does still need a goal to be an actual game.
I had it planned, but sadly I didn't get to that, because I ran out of time.
Still decided to put it out here, no matter what. And I'm glad I did. :)
I'm convinced it has potential, so I'm gonna give it some more after the Jam.

Thanks again!

You might have forgotten to include the .pck file in the submission, so the game dosen't run

Submitted (1 edit) (+1)

you can use the pck-file from the linux version.

But i can't figure out how to finish a level

Developer

Yeah, actually there are no levels, sorry. It's technically not a game yet. Just press BACKSPACE key to generate new caves and dig them according to your liking.

Developer

Oh no! You're absolutely right. I m sorry. It was my first export with Godot. I developed on Linux and could only test on that platform. I've made re-uploads for the other platforms. I hope they're working now. Please, if You can be so kind, try again, and let me know how it goes. PS. Thank You for commenting!
