This reminds me of the game "Piano Tiles" which I love. I am a big fan of the reaction time type games like this :)

Good choo-choo vibe here

I had a great time playing this (though I found myself wishing there were some train music to go along with it!).  One gameplay suggestion is to maybe move the 'errors' to something closer to the train. Maybe even on the train itself. This way it's easier to see/track (but this is a minor issue after you've played a few times and remember you only get 3 errors).

My best score was 6418.

Nice game! Simple, yet fun and fits perfectly with the theme.
In my opinion, the strongest part is how intuitive and responsive it is, both in game an in menu. Best controls I've seen so far. In fact they're perfect and the single thing I could think of as maybe being improvement control-wise, is including right arrow as a selection key for alternative to the enter. The motion blur in the background feels so natural, that at first, I didn't even notice it! :) Plus the background graphics are absolutely gorgeous anyways. I'd like to see something as good in foreground too, while keeping it easily separable from the background. For example the locomotive itself could have a non-linear and clearly directional lighting. And the other foreground elements should also have a style that's consistent with that. Sure, they need to be clearly distinguishable with extreme speeds, so I understand why the water is so bright, but there's probably another solution that's equally readable and requires less saturation. As of sound, my ears crave for the sound effect, when a piece is placed, and especially, when misplaced - The camera shake makes me imagine it. :D I very much like the thump sound when changing between the menu options. That thump could even be louder. The sounds are an important part of the "juice". These are some ideas I had while playing and I share them with acknowledgement, that the game is totally cool as it is. I very much enjoyed playing it and wish You the best. Cheers!

Very well done game, congratulations on your first entry and finishing it as well. Graphics are very pretty and the tempo gets wild really fast. Maybe a sound effect or two when placing tracks/bridges would add additional little bit. Keep up good work :)

Fun twist on a classic infinite runner!  The graphics are neat and polished. One thing I noticed and it was a bit weird: sometimes I couldn't really understand why I lost and had to restart from the beginning. It would be nice to have this feedback more explicit to the player.

Great job man.

Hi inacho. Thanks for playing and the feedback.

You should only lose if the train derails or if you connect the wrong track 3 times (there is an indicator for errors at the top). If you are failing for any other reason, let me know because that would be a bug.

Oh, ok! I'll play again to see what happened. It felt weird so it might be a bug indeed! Thanks for the reply .

Nice game! Congrats on making something fun with the "only two buttons" wildcard.

As already said, the audio could be improved. Besides music and other sound effect, it would be great if the sound of the train would also accelerate.

Fun game! Fit the theme well, along has good graphics to boot. The game itself only has two buttons but manages to create a frantic pace! Good job!

For points for improvement, maybe add more background music and sfx, particularly when adding roads and bridges. Good game overall!

Really cool concept, good use of the "Two Buttons" wild card! The game gets really intense once it's sped up :D. One thing : Music and different sound effects would be a great addition, it felt a bit empty without it.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. You are absolutely right about the sound. Glad you liked it though!

This game is a wonderful, button-pressing game where anxiety is such a strong feeling. It's brilliant. The controls are fun and simple, and the game effects are fun and responsive.

Thanks Teppi Le.

Hope everyone is OK after playing it and no one needs to be taken into a hospital due to a heart attack xD.
