Hahaha really enjoyed playing your game! The graphics are awesome and I think the rat ball monster idea is just brilliant and so well executed. Very cool character design! And nice cover art!

The game has a nice and unique vibe to it and the music and sfx are great - i would only change the shoot sound or make it less loud. Also i think it would be much more satisfying if you could shoot continuously imo.

The game was too easy for me, i haven't lost a single live for ages :D

All in all, awesome little game I really enjoyed playing! Congrats!

I will go against the other comment but the visuals were too distracting for my taste. The kind of motion blur effect you added was just too much and it made the game feel sluggish imo. I don’t know if this is really wanted, but I would have preferred something less aggressive. The controls were a bit slow for such a game imo. I’d love to be able to go a bit faster, as it’s a dynamic game otherwise.

Other than that I liked the idea. Congrats for your submission!

I got to 190k points and I was only hit once. Eventually I figured I could keep going without getting touched unless the game changed, but it kept going for so long without any changes that I thought it wouldn't happen. I think it controls great, the slight drift felt really good to dodge bullets with, and the visuals and feedback are amazing. Lots of explosions, shiny bullets, rat clusters moving about, the visual clarity and juicing are top notch, I can tell how much work you put into these areas of the game. But yeah, it got repetitive and easy very quickly. I also didn't see the theme of the game jam there as well, but the game is still solid and easy to build up on. Good job!

The visuals and atmosphere are really nice, but uuuuh the enemies don't spawn if I go too far? I mean, they're here for a bit but then I just cruise through empty space. I don't know if that's normal and it seems I'm the only one with this issue? Good job nonetheless, I know how you struggled during this jam and being able to submit a game with this level of polish with the time and resources you had is impressive.

The visuals here were something that was tweaked to perfection. I really liked the game feel as well. The overall experience was quick and sweet and I feel it there could have been more to the project, be that enemies, wide variety of weapons, some sort of progression, something :)

Nice work! Really like the art and sound design. The music feels like a great fit and the change in pace between game screen and lose screen really pops in a good way. I haven't been able to find my mouse since moving (last weekend :joy:) and my trackpad doesn't really do it justice. I didn't really see the theme much on this one, but I really like the aesthetic. Good work!

The idea was to have a very complex randomization system, but it fell through due to time constraints

Nice sound designs, a fun infinitely scrolling background. I wish the difficulty with ramp up as I eventually had to let myself die just to see what would happen, maybe waves or moments of increased and decreased intensity or different enemy types could also shake things up. Missing connection to the theme though!
