Wow! This is your first project?! Very impressive! 😃
There were a couple of glitches, but they were more funny and entertaining than game-breaking (like the pieces trying to hit the new piece you want to place), but overall a very cool game, and an interesting take on the tower defense genre!
I wish you good luck in your journey to recreate Outer Wilds using carrots and pencils! 😆
Super cool concept! I think it'd be awesome to see a full version some day. TD with chess pieces acting like chess pieces.
A very well-implemented tower defense game, I like the chess theming it would be interesting to have the game extended with more pieces.
big fan of tower defense games, as well as chess. So I enjoyed this concept very much. I did have a moment tho on one of my play throughs where my knight kept attacking the same spot and it was where my pawn was. But over all good game.
This was fun, I can see there being a bit of strategy with chess piece tower defence.
Damn, I couldn't beat the big pawn. :P
I really like this idea, Chess + Tower Defense is not something I've seen before!
This is such a fantastic entry! I'm really excited to see this developed further with more pieces and more strategy. Perhaps the path changes under certain conditions... Ooo.. I really like the potential here. Well done!
The game itself is okay but I'd be really helpful to have more of an idea of when you can place pieces and how much they cost. It took me quite a while to understand that you can place pieces in the middle of a wave.
Good game! But you need price labels and a small description of each piece
Congratulations on finishing your first jam!
I'd say the game needs more information and feedback listed, since it's unclear at times what's happening and whether or not you can buy stuff.
This really could have prices and cooldowns listed; it was hard to plan around the currency mechanic without them. Also, I am not sure if I won or not? That seems like it shouldn't be ambiguous with the one big piece at the end. An interesting concept though.
loving the concept. Spend some time on it after the jam, you might have something really nice here.
