Love it!
It's cool how the game changes from "collect items" to "dodge items" based on what your speed is. I like how the items don't respawn, so it acts as a catchup mechanic for people who fall behind. Cool game!
You are my fav!!! I enjoyed all that you made and used: your idea, concept, art style, and music!! This is awesome)
Thank you for playing and the praise! :D
This is really fun to play. I hope you continue working on it further!
Thank you for playing! :D
Nice game, very fun to play, gj
Thanks for checking it out! :D
This has to be one of the best concepts in the jam! A really clever design, love how you switch between avoiding rerolls and gaining them. If ur making this as a full game (and I hope you do) maybe add some turns rainbow road style and give it a multiplayer option
Thanks for playing! We will try to add multiplayer if we can. :D
Looks amazing! I feel like some areas are hard to avoid the rerolls in though. That is probably part of the game though. To force you to get a lower roll.
Thanks for checking it out! ;D
Loved it! Top marks! Original and super polished! F-zero x vibes meets mario kart power-up system? My only comment is that skill has "no" place here, other than hitting or avoiding the dice spinners. Maybe having them be temporary booster/brakes would give way to a better balance between skill and luck.
Thanks for playing and for the feedback! Will try to build upon the mechanics further. :D
I couldnt focus on chat because i was so focused on the game. Which is an awesome sign. This is insanely polished for a jam title. I dont know how you all do this. Definitely a good job.
Thanks a lot for playing! :D
Wooow! This is incredible!! The gameplay, mechanics, graphics, sound... Everything fits!! So cool how you approached the theme
Thank you for playing and thanks for the praise! :D
The visuals are really cool! And the idea is very interesting! The start could be a bit unfair because the other cars get all the rerolls and if you dont have luck you get way behind but making the rolls as obsticles when you have a higher number and as saviors when you have a 1 is a neat thing!
Thanks for playing! I agree the start can be rough, but the A.I. is very basic and I wanted to give them a bit of a head start haha. :D
The visuals are awesome. This is such a pretty, cool looking game, really.
Gameplay wise I like how it is essentially luck based how fast you are, but you have the control of keeping your speed by trying to dodge the rerolls. In general having luck combined with player skill works really well.
I can easily see this be made into a full game, I'd like to see more mechanics eventually though!
Definitely a stand out from yesterday.
Thanks so much for playing! And thanks for the kind words! :D
This is an amazing game, after seeing you on a stream yesterday i decided to try it out myself, I really love how the dice rerolls can become both your goal and obstacles depending on your number. the visuals are sick, the music is sick, and the whole game gives off a professional vibe, one of the games i can see myself playing even after the jam. If you decide to continue working on this game i can see it being a hit. great work!
Thanks for playing! Glad you enjoyed it! :D
This might be one of my favorite games so far! I loved the visuals, and the use of the shader(?) to bend the world; but most importantly the gameplay concept of rolling for speed, which then makes the person that's in the lead need to avoid the re-rolls, while those with lower speeds seek to get them, was very nice!
If there was one suggestion I'd have to improve the game, it would be to have re-rolls respawn, or even have "weighted dice rolls" that players near the lead couldn't collect, that way there's more opportunities to someone in the far back to catch up a bit.
Very nice game!
Thanks so much for the praise! Those ideas have been considered, but we ended up with pickups not respawning so getting a high roll near the back would make it easier to catch up because you don't have to dodge as much. :D
Bruv dis is sick. The music the visuals the sound. Cool af
Thank you for the praise! :D
hands down the most fun i had playing jam games, the game works rly well and its a lot of fun, gj!
Thanks so much for playing! Glad you enjoyed it! :D
Did not expect this to work as well as it did. Switching between seeking out and dodging rerolls was really dynamic and fun. The driving felt great and the effects going on outside the map were trippy and cool.
Perhaps some kind of nitro charged by hitting rerolls would encourage players to hit them even if they're a high number / give players that keep getting unlucky and having to reroll a chance to catch up? That might suck in execution though lol haha.
Great work.
Thanks for playing! Glad you enjoyed it. :D Some kind of boost mechanic sounds great, will definitely research something like this!
i really enjoey it. i like how it is balanced because in front you have so many dices. Great job!
Thank you for playing! :D
Surprisingly fun. It has the mario kart feeling of hoping a good roll to make sure you get far. And the simple design of having to dodge more if you are in first then in the back, having a built in difficulty curve/catch up mechanic is amazing. I do think that better steering would allow you to keep your roll for a longer time if you are skilled in driving. Currently there is little time to enjoy your high rolls. Also the level select really shouldn't be random, as I went from white to blue back to white, which was a bummer.
Thanks so much for checking it out! Currently, all the obstacles are randomly generated, sometimes you can get long streaks where you can keep high rolls, sometimes not. I suppose it fits the random jam theme in this way. As far as map selection goes, it was only a last second implementation to give some visual variety, will definitely make some kind of level selection screen later on!
Dang, phenomenal game.
I'd be impressed even if this wasn't a jam project, but the fact it was made in 48 hours? Mind-boggling.
Thanks for playing! So glad you like it!
