This was a nice, chill game. The balance with the dice and coins feels good. Also, the artstyle is nice. Well done!

Thanks for palying!

Pretty interesting!  Like our game, there is a surprising amount of strategy to be had after learning some of the mechanics in the game.

You guys took a different spin on player agency, more of a top down strategy approach with how to manage each day (more like "economy" balancing?) vs. our game which was more minute with "step by step" decisions.  It's interesting to see the differences.

Also, damn those firewood prices!

Developer(+1)

I think your approach to have set amount turns against our... hyperinflation of firewood prices was bit better approach to make the game end at some point. Maybe with a lot of balancing it could have been made difficult enough in the late game so couple wrongly played turns would end it.. instead of .. firewood :D Oh well.

It was great to see a similar design and do little comparison..! Good luck and thank you for playing! :)

Really enjoyed this, especially the beautiful art. Once I realised dice could fulfil multiple roles it opened up a lot, and made for a really fun challenge!

Out of interest, where is the music from? Really reminds me of Morrowind in the best way :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the kind works! It is much appreciated :) ... Music is from our company library where most of the stuff has come from some bundle or other media of sound pack or the like... So unfortunately I cannot exactly pinpoint its origins or who made it.

Thank you for playing!

Really nice game and art. It's a little tricky to use the dice sometimes though, they slide around a lot so quick placement is hard and if they go over a button you cant pick them up without clicking it.
I feel like it would be nice for them to click into place so you can move the cards around without losing the dice.

Developer

Good thing there is no time limit so you can have a relaxing time just brewing potions ;) Also every game object is movable so it at least helps a little to mitigate the issue of double click... although still pretty annoying. What comes in to dice clicking into place.. There is a.. well hidden  mechanic to use one die for multiple cards so placement is definitely key for long survival :)

Thank you for playing and thank you for the feedback!

Wow juicy.games, Fafa's Dicemy Emporium is bringing me back lots of memories and nostalgia from a few of my favorite childhood games. The style, music and overall vibe felt very inmersive for me. Congrats on your submission!

Welp, I'm a sucker for potion brewing games so you got me there!

It took a few tries to understand what was going on, but once I grasped that it's about choosing how many derbs you wanna risk in order to get the cards I had a lot of fun with it. I didn't really understand what determined how many derbs I get each turn - is there any downside to prepping them all every time?

Developer(+1)

The amount of time you have left in the day once you have finished brewing, scales the amount of derbs you get end of the day. Lets say its.. time left to gather.. herbs.. dice.. derbs! :D  So the more potions you brew, the less derbs you get, then it comes a balancing act. Need definately to think of ways to better inform the player!

Thank you for the feedback and thanks for playing! :)

Aha, I was wondering what the time indicator was all about!

Very fun game! I loved the gameplay loop! The only things I would have liked is a little more explanation at the beginning (like how to tell which cards were worth more), and I also would've liked to be able to scale a bit more--the farthest I got was Day 23, and I only had 3 upgrades (2 cards, one pot value). So overall it could use a smidge of balancing, but great concept and great work!

Developer

Thank you for taking the time to play and review! :)

Good point on the explaining the tier thing and yeah.. definately needs more balancing. Getting to the +30 days needs bit luck also to hit those higher tier potions. Did you notice that you can use one die for multiple potions? This helps little bit on the long run :)

Loved the vibe of this game!

Developer

Hey! Thanks for playing :)

I loved this! Great concept, good execution. I literally played it for 40minutes.

I just wish I had more impactful things to do in between business days. Also I would love to know what the fees do (derb storage and firewood) and why they keep going up (does derb storage go up as you hoard derbs? does firewood go up as you use the cauldron?).

This can definitely be expanded!

Developer (1 edit)

Well, lorewise derbs.. as in dice herbs need storage space. So the more you have the more it costs. I guess that firewood is just a rare commodity so the price keeps going up as the days go by. :D It mostly serves just as a mechanic to make the game.. end.

Im definately with you on more things to do between business days.. Let's see if we'll have an after jam expansion. Atleast to make store bit more usefull :)

Thank you for your feedback and thanks for playing!
