Dear Vortex Bros!

Great core mechanic with the design of own attack dice. I just wish there is less grey color. In beginning the fight was tough, but once you get into the "rhythm", it gets much easier.

Grat job, let's keep having fun jaming!

Developer(+1)

Glad you liked it!  We'll work on more color!

Solid idea, but i wish the dice were "executing" a bit faster.

Thank you for playing!

The core concept here is really cool! I like the idea of building out dice with different attack values, and different elemental effects - almost like a deck-builder, but with dice!

One note I have is that the feeling of the platforming could use a bit of tweaking. The player slides a bit too much when coming to a stop (at least in my opinion), and there doesn't seem to be a jump buffer of any kind. I think adding a jump buffer/coyote-time would go a long way to improving movement feel.

All things considered, you did a great job!

Developer

Awesome thank you for your feedback!  Thanks for playing!

I liked that there is sound.

Sadly second boss is hard - i dont see his hitpoints and don't know if i damage him or not... I liked jumping part. Also i would be awesome to jump with dices ( bombs ) ... like a rocket jump or something :D

Glad you liked it, thank you for playing!

I really like the idea of making your own dice! I liked the risk-reward factor of wanting to shove the highest numbers on your die, but knowing that you'll have a higher chance of rolling a 0 because it would become too heavy. The elemental dice was also a really cool idea, and I'd love to see this expanded on. The double jump ability also made it almost feel like a metroidvania type of game, which would be awesome. The only major issue that I found was that beating the first boss made this constant buzzing sound for the rest of the game.

Developer

Glad you liked it, yes the sound issue we'll have to fix.  Thanks for playing

Congrats on submitting your game! The gameplay is a bit tedious but I like the idea of adding values to the sides of your dice.

The game is pretty fun to play and the mechanic is unique. I liked the idea of the character throwing the dice to damage the enemy. It is fun

Cool idea to have customizable sides on the dice, and elemental damage was pretty interesting too. The sound design is terrifying btw.

Thanks!  Glad you liked it!  Thanks for playing!

The custom dice attack was so fun to upgrade.  I was almost sad when it ended I just wanted to keep finding better and better sides to make a great attack.  I was able to skip large portions because the jump resets when you touch off on a wall so I could just wall bounce to the end, but nice job!

Developer

Awesome!  So glad you liked it!  Thanks for playing!

dealing damage is harder because of the delay but i think that's understandable since we're rolling dice. the context-based pop-up messages are great for teaching the mechanics. good job!

I love the idea of upgrading the dice in that cute almost Deus-ex-inventory jigsaw style screen! I'd agree with SirXmas about changing the attack function a little bit-- maybe just make them explode right away so it's a lil more active. Great concept!

Awesome, thanks for the feedback!  Thanks for playing our game!

The tutorials and the level are really well designed!  I like  how the information on how to play the game is slowly revealed as we play.  I think having the dice deal damage after it fully landed made the combat a bit slow.  The level design is really good though!

Thank you!  Glad you liked it!
