Very cool artstyle! love how the first dice roll was animated, almost feels like a cartoon.
Like others have said, it's a bit difficult if you can't heal when needed.
Other than that, a very solid and enjoyable game !
What a great concept, love it to bits and pips. Didn't make it far but the art and music is really cool!
Good game! I love gameplay, art and sounds. Though you can't heal when you kill enemy and inventory is saved after death. 5/5
Cool idea. Sometimes it feels a little but unbalanced (to much RNG), but given the short time span, that is totally fine. Great work!
Bug: You keep your inventory when you restart (not that but, just reload the game).
1. enemy attack you before your turn
2. you can't heal when you kill enemy
The gameplay is great and it's fun to fight the enemies. But my favorite thing has to be the artworks. You did a great job designing this game! I just realised, you can actually carry 9 dice, if you take one more out of a chest and hold it while proceeding to the next foe.
I love the art style a lot, made me think of the flash games of old. In fact, the entire presentation was spot on. Unfortunately, I encountered a lot of bugs making it a bit hard to enjoy the general gameplay. However, with those bugs ironed out I see a super fun random dungeon crawler in here! Fun game overall.
Fun to play, even if it was a little hard to grasp in the beginning.
Interesting Art!
I love the art! I think the combat works well given the time constraint! Good work!
I love the art for this game, really gives it a great feel. The random button seemed a bit buggy but maybe I was just getting unlucky with the rolls? Nevertheless a great game good job!
The visuals are very good congratulations! I found the mechanics very interesting too. Congrats for the submission!
The art is really cool! The game is also fun! GJ
An interesting game!
We both went with a similar concept, so it was really nice to see the huge differences in execution.
I often ended up with no dice left, so the game might need a bit more loot, by apart from that it was fun to play.
(possible bug: when restarting, my inventory remained empty, soft locking me in lvl 1)
The ennemies' designs and dungeon dice-walls are really great, it gives this game a unique identity!
Good job, it's a nice submission! =)
Definitely a lot of random stuff going on. Rolling for attack, rolling for loot... it surely fits the theme. I like design of the enemies. Especially the snake with dice eyes.
Art looks nice
I loved the art in this game! Super nostalgic feeling of Newgrounds Flash games, in the best way possible. I especially like the animation of rolling at the start of the game.
Mechanically I like the concepts. Clearly there's the ground work here for much more depth and new features, and I hope you keep working on it after the jam. At it's surface though, I like the idea of managing a small resource pool that's constantly being replenished.
THE GAME IS SO FRIKIN FUN :O
Love the gameplay loop, also like that you added a take all button :>
overall, a very gud and epic dice game
great visuals and presentation!
Gorgeous animation for a game jam game, but I agree with the comments that gameplay can feel too random and lacking in player interaction. It's a bit frustrating when I try to take dice from the chest and it doesn't work correctly for one reason or the other. This is still a very impressive game though and I did enjoy my dungeon crawl. Great job!
