Really like the variety of mechanics and the level design. well done.
Really fun puzzle platformer that gets quite challenging near the end! I think that having to play through the level for each life was justified and not too annoying, since it just adds to that feeling of going in a loop. It was quite annoying, however, to restart the whole thing whenever you made a tiny mistake (perhaps a "rewind to last life" feature could help with this)? Other than that minor annoyance though, the game is great! The puzzles are clever and I think you did a really great job of introducing the player to the different cats and mechanics, the art and music are great, and the different powers have good puzzle solving applications! Congrats on this submission!
Thanks for playing and for the feedback!
Puzzle platformer that explores various concepts. I like it when the levels start to introduce multiple elements at once.
I did, however, accidentally press the R key more than a few times when I was trying to press E instead, and restart the entire level; I’m frustrated at myself for that. But I think it would be great to support controllers for a game like this.
Also, when the birds spawned, they all seemed to have played a sound effect at the same time, resulting in them being loud.
In the final(?) level, I gave up. My final jump was rendered impossible after committing my bush because I realized I could hit the ceiling, so I couldn’t close the distance. There’s so much prep that goes into the level that it’s not worth it to me to restart the entire level for that. Maybe an undo system?
But overall, even with the frustrations i put upon myself, I enjoyed this :)
Thank you for the great feedback, and thank you for playing! You make a lot of good points in your criticism.
I handled the sound effects, and I was quite aware of the annoying increase in volume when there's a lot of birds in a level. I definitely need to look into how other games handle many similar sound effects like that before the next jam, because this has been a consistent problem I've faced.
I was a bit worried about mapping E and R the way I did, sorry that it gave you trouble :(. I actually did most of my playtesting with shift rather than E, but I should've thought more about it or even just put the restart button on the pause screen.
I agree 100% that this type of game warrants having an undo button, I'm sure it would ease at least some of the frustrations for players.

Music prevented me from continuing very long! Fun tho
It was a fun, well built game, and really creative. But I found it annoying to have to get back to the same spot every time I used my sushi powers. It would be cool if the player could set their spawn or get checkpoints every half-level so it doesn't feel so tedious. Other than that though, it was great!
Really nice game
Fun game! I liked the puzzles and the cats were cute. I think the gravity of the player was a bit too high, which made jumping difficult, but otherwise I really enjoyed it.
very cool puzzle idea game. i think nine lives is a standard name, you could call it "loop lives or infinite lives" , either way great job.
would appreciate it if you tried and rated my game. thanks
This one has some nice funky groves and cute cats.
I liked this a lot! The art is very cute, yes, even the exploding cats. The puzzles were clever and the cat had a nice hefty jump to it. Some of the puzzles were a bit too difficult on my taste, relying on very precise input. Also, the green cat's ability never seemed to work consistently for me.
Thank you for the feedback! The difficulty curve definitely got a bit rushed last minute, and I also agree that the controls ended up not being well suited for the game in the end (originally it was supposed to be much more on the puzzle side, later it became more platformer-y). If we were to redo this, I certainly would've spent more time honing the controls to match the gameplay better.

wow! So fun, so cute. So clever. 10/10
Cute game. Mistakes at the end feel devastating.
Cat-sushi, my two favorite things!
Very cool game!
Cool Concept!
Thank you!
