I really like the concept, and the art and soundscape were well put together! The gameplay could've been a bit faster, especially the walking speed which felt slow. I enjoyed throwing ladders, though I do wish you could hurt the enemies with a ladder throw or stun them, but it was fun nonetheless!
Bit clunky, bit buggy, pretty cool music and art, pretty nice idea, a bit too slow though, combat was redundant, yeeting ladders as strong as possible was fun. def a good entry, could be polished post jam for sure,
Nice base mechanic, reminded me of the Portal levels where you have to keep the Companion Cube with you
Nice game, though a little slow and awkward to control? ^^;
ladder throwing was decently fun, although the controls could use some work; moving the hands was kinda clumsy, and the character was just really slow for some reason. the combat wasn't really fun and didn't add much of anything to the experience. the music and sfx sound like a zx spectrum rigged to a nuclear reactor, and there's a clear lack of polish, but finishing a game from scratch is still a very good effort, and the base premise isn't terrible.
I reached the end even though I suck at physics games xd I enjoyed but I wished I was a little faster
Really fun the ladder mechanic. I think it would be fun fighting the enemies using it also instead of the sword.
BTW, I managed to get out of bounds after getting the crown.
I really liked how the music smoothly changed at the end of the level. The ladder physics worked well and it was fun to throw.
Took a little bit of time to figure out that the ladder was being thrown towards my cursor.
Fighting the enemies was a bit repetitive alternating attacking and blocking, especially the ones with more health.
Too slow for my tastes. I couldn't figure out how to properly use the ladder to scale a wall. I pushed it up the first one and loved the death animation of the enemy, but it's just not my cup of tea.

Unilaterally Epic
This game was a lot of fun! While it felt a bit slow paced, I found myself really enjoying the slower gameplay, very cool game!

I liked the puzzle part of throwing a ladder, but the combat parts felt out of place. If more attention was put into the ladder throwing I think it would have been better. Maybe something like Jump King style? Where missing a ladder throw is punished?
The controls are a little confusing and the movement speed feels a bit too slow. Still the game is pretty fun and enjoyable and the art style fits well. Good Job!
Fun game! Gonna be honest that at first the controls was confusing so it made me almost give up on it, but I'm glad that I didnt because it was a really fun experience.
This game was really really fun! It was a little bit slow and janky at times, but that didn't take away from my enjoyment of the game. I really enjoyed figuring out the best techniques for throwing the ladder around. I really loved the way the music changed when you got to the end. I was also so pleasantly surprised to see that there were multiple levels! It would be cool to see this idea expanded upon, maybe adding layers to the music the longer your ladder is. I also think it would be fun if the ladder itself could damage enemies, but maybe that would make it too easy. Great job overall!
I like it, the idea of moving your hands on the ladder before throwing it makes for more complex gameplay than it looks.
I have some issues with the battles, ennemies often hit though the ladder but you don't, and generally your range is smaller too. I would have liked everything to be slightly faster, (Charging the throw, and moving around), but the game was still really fun.
It was a real challenge but I got the crown !
And I successfuly fell out of bonds like a true gamer!Fun game! Good job!
Game concept feels ok on the ladder related stuff. But game feels really slow and a bit jank. Don't really get the point of combat and the hitboxes are a bit jank.
not bad! there's definitely something here, but it's just a bit of a slog. i'd suggest making everything a bit faster: make the player move a bit faster, make attacks come out a bit faster and make enemies do and take more damage to make combat a bit faster. also, let the ladder do damage to enemies! the throw is satisfying, there's definitely a physics-based puzzle here that could be good, but the "puzzles" aren't really particularly difficult or interesting, and there's really nothing new once you're past even the very first obstacle. still, not bad!
