Yeah, Hollow Knight was exactly the inspiration for that mechanic, but it doesn't work exactly as I wanted because most of the enemies are below the player so it's necessary to dash towards them for them to be killed and then the dash reset it's meaningless because you are already on the ground.
It would worked better if there were some enemies on the air so the player would be able to "fly" or some different attack that doesn't have the dash.
I started the game and thought "okay just jump king with a highscore" than I noticed you can do a double jump and the game changed completely. This was definitely the most fun game I played in this jam so far.
I would even say that creating an "hard" mode would be pretty cool to see removing the "time stop" ability.
