Fun game!

Control bindings aren't great, it's hard to press 6-9 abilities, you can try putting them closer to W/A/S/D like q, e, z, cw, f OR you can lean into it and put hard hitting abilities on it, so you will be forced to stop and cast them, which is how bosses work in other games, hard hitting abilities are always telegraphed.

Love the voice acting, just like the previous time.

I remember that I rated your GMTK 2022 game, nice to see you again.

I agree that the controls really didn't end up as great as I hoped. That is a thought of having them closer to WASD. I'm thinking multiple options (like users can select through scroll wheel, 0 - 9, maybe popup circle-selector thing, etc...) My thought process for 7 - 0 at least was since they are togglable the player won't need to hit them as much, but didn't quite work out as planned.

I had a lot of fun playing this. it felt so good to play, too! Great choice of music as well, a real epic feeling to vanquish all those enemies! :D
Indeed the same base idea as I had, but executed in a very very different way.

Great game, I enjoyed it! I like voiceovers of the heroes and that you put some story in their design. Some actions though seems useless, maybe it would be better to just pick up some of the actions and apply it instantly. 7 key skill seems like autoattack that could be on left mouse click or used automatically. But overall it really fun, good job!

Thanks for playing and glad you enjoyed it! And ya in hindsight I don't think the "7" attack really worked as I had hoped. I think I may make it just free to use automatically (or any 7 - 0 free to use if the only one's active).  I know in general I do need to edit the controls and balance things a bit more.

Really nice! Small note I think the gameplay could be reinforced with a different button mapping. More complicated to set, but maybe an action wheel could allow for a clearer reading of available actions.

Wow. This is really good. I liked the core gameplay loop, the funny tone and how it has more content than a typical jam game. I really see the potential for a commercial game here. I encourage you to polish it more after the jam. One of the best GMTK23 games that I tried so far.

I do want to polish it up a little bit after the jam (I actually see there's a "Post Jam Jam" for updating games so that might encourage me to update it, especially the controls). Don't think I will make this specific game commercial, but I am considering something similar in style.

hehehe this is a good time. I love that you voiced all the characters, and while I kept them on, I also appreciate that you put in the option to turn them off. The different powers were neat, but I found it difficult to switch between them while also aiming and moving. Maybe you could cycle through them with the mouse wheel and toggle them with clicks? I'm not sure.

The way the characters kind of bounce back and forth for their walking animation like they're action figures is a good, economical use of your jam time. It works well, and with only one frame for the character!

This is a fun, charming little game. Well done!

Thanks glad you enjoyed it! And especially glad you liked the voices (didn't know how people would feel about them). Also thanks for pointing out the character walking animation. I know in a way it looks kind of cheap, but I also think it works and it definitely lets me focus on actually making the game.

And ya, the controls are definitely the biggest issue that I'll try to think about resolving. Perhaps having an additional scroll option and then clicking to select (since the mouse buttons aren't actually used at all).

For some reason, Sir Rasmusman the Sorta Brave was in permanent shield mode.

the game was very fun and the dialogs made me smile.  The controls were a bit difficult to use considering you had to constantly press numbers on your keyboard while moving but it wasnt a very big deal. Well done!

Nice game! Our ideas are similar, which is always nice to see variations of! I like all the effects you added, and the range of spells and summons gives a lot of flexibility. Good difficulty balance too! Great job!

I kinda like it but how are you expecting me to use WASD to move AND use 123456789 to switch weapons at the same time . It would have been better with an mouse wheel selection or something like the runes selector  in botw/totk but with the mouse

Quite fun. One thing I would suggest if you were to work on this again is to make choosing a spell easier through the scroll wheel of a mouse

Very fun, love summoner based combat so i spammed the minotaurs lol. The Last Stand of the Lich King (another jam entry) did something very similar, LOVE the music :)

Awesome! Thanks for playing and liking it! I also love summoning minions so that's usually what I do when playing. Honestly I probably should have focused more on just summoning guys vs bringing in other spells. Oh well maybe in the next game!

Also thanks for pointing out Last Stand of the Lich King! I have been enjoying trying other peoples takes on the genre. Thanks again for playing the game!!

Awesome game! Playing as the boss is an interesting idea. One thing I would suggest is making the heroes have less health as some of these fights can take a decent while. Also there was a lot of lag from the particles when you beat the current hero, but not a huge deal. Gameplay was amazing!

Thanks for playing and glad you liked it!! And fair point about the heroes health. I did buff the health a little bit in the end because I didn't have a ton of bosses and didn't want the game to be over too quick, but of course I was just play-testing on my own so I knew how to kill them quickly. 

And lol ya I noticed in the HTLM version the heroes lag when killed... but I think its worth!! Maybe next time I'll tone it down a little. Thanks again for playing!!

I actually found myself playing this for way longer than I was planning to - summoning minions and charging up nuke attacks while tracking enemies with lightning was engaging and fun! I agree with OKNO that it'd have been good if the (7) ability was a free ability.

SUCH A GREAT GAME! Why hasn't anyone rated this yet??? It's juicy, punchy, I love the graphics and those particle effects! I wish the firing ability (7) would have been a free ability because it kinda breaks the gameplay loop when you have to disable it to charge up for a bigger ability. I really hope you keep working on this and making this into an amazing game!

Thanks for your kind comments about the game!! Really means a lot to me! I'd tried a lot to make the game feel good to play so glad that it felt that to you.

In hindsight I completely agree with you about the 7 spell. At the time I wanted to make it where it used just a little bit of energy, but it does end up becoming a nuisance to turn on and off. Maybe what I should have done is make one of the toggleables (7 - 0) never use energy if only one is active, but if 2 or more then they do.

I probably won't make this specific on into a full game, but I might tweak/balance/polish it up slightly mor after the jam. Thanks again for playing and glad you liked it!!
