Always great to see another fishing game in the jam! This was a great take on the theme. I've always said fishing games could use more gratuitous violence. Nice work!

The was a great idea and very well excecuted! Playing as a monster fish in a fishing game is quite a twist. I also loved jumping out of the water and killing all the people in the platform. The only thing I noticed is that my fish didn't seem to die or take damage despite the harpoons hitting me.

That was a great game and concept, congratulations!

Awesome job. The music really sets the tone for the game. It would be interesting if it would ramp up in intensity to accompany the leveling up of the fish! Nice

Amazing Art and a fun Game. Nice job.

Especially like the name ;)

LMAO what a coincidence

The visuals got me on this one.

The art style and overall polish were exceptional! I didn't feel like there was much strategy required to beat the game though. After my fish got big enough to jump to the humans, there wasn't much they could do to stop me, and i didn't need to pull them into water anymore either. The harpoon fishers were a cool concept, but it would have been cooler if there specific counterplay for them other than avoid them and try to outheal their damage. That being said, it is still an excellent game.

Great! I felt there could be a little more strategy involved, I didn't really need to think much, but that's fine / nitpicky for a jam game. It also doesn't reaaaallly fit the theme too well either. Man though, that aside this is one of the better submissions for sure. Had a lot of fun with it. Not to mention the high quality art/music. Good work.

Guess it applies here too? Ha. I hope you weren't offended by that comment- your game really was great.

Submitted

Haha yeah I'd say it applies, the game is seriously nice though!

Simple but the game feel is great and so is the art

Submitted

Simple and effective. Incredibly sleek visuals and addicting gameplay in one incredibly well-presented package! I could easily play hours of this gameplay loop and feel satisfied afterwards.

Nice game. I like the animation of the fish eating (all of the variants) xD And the awesome idea that you can jump above the surface. I was missing some stats, though, e.g. life bar.

Submitted

Nice visuals and gameplay! Could've a little more challenge though, maybe you can add some submarine bombs for the player avoid while trying to eat the humans.

Previous games of ours were way too hard for jam games. We may have gone too far in the other direction, haha. Better this than that though, I think. If we had more time we could have done bombs, we talked about it. Thanks!

Three thousand dead, that'll teach you to ignore the 'no fishing' sign!

Addictive gameplay and great soundtrack!

Loving the progressive evolution into a absolute sea monster, quite satisfying to wreck havoc to the village x) it lacks a bit of a challenge though, you end up repetitively eating everyone on deck without encountering much resistance

My partner started laughing out loud in the library when she saw me play it. Very creative and fun. Very good job. Juicy game, Nit picking, I wish the fish movement was a bit more fluid, very small thing though. Very good game jam game, congrats.

Nice concept! The game is very polished and the control is smooth. Wish to see more different levels and human.

Submitted

Cool and squishy! would be nice if you could come from both sides instead of only the right?

Fun concept, felt good to play with satisfying feedback and a very charming presentation. Might benefit from some kind of risk/reward component (a threat the fish needs to overcome), and it could be interesting to add in an element like a combo system (getting awarded for pulling down/eating multiple humans in a certain time frame). Lots of potential, though - hope you keep fleshing it out!

Developer(+1)

thanks for the constructive feedback! we didn't even think of combos while creating the game, def shouldve. cheers!
