An interesting and nicely presented challenge. I think I would have enjoyed it if all the letters were visible, as opposed to just the adjacent letters, as I thought the most clever part of the game was puzzling about how to rearrange the grid, rather than actually finding the word. I also feel like the theme wasn't used that well, in that I think this game would function equally well if the words were the correct way around! Nonetheless, a cool concept and a great entry!

A Cool And Challenging Puzzle Game! I Really Love The Concept And Everything :D

Very cool puzzle!

Fun puzzle! I wish the game was clearer about when I was no longer supposed to be looking for SELOR, I know that the hint part updates but I think by making the player find SELOR more than once, it seems like the hint is just part of the background so I didn't even notice that it had changed until after a few minutes of searching for more instances of SELOR.

i loved how your game is unique and the take on the theme is really fresh!

i got a bit sad when i found out that i need one more block and for that i have to disassemble a bunch of words :( maybe there was another decision though, but i couldn't figure it out :D

a little tutorial would possibly help :)

also the words and their definitions seem so nice, liked it. it's definitely dangerous to go alone!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing! Indeed a tutorial will help, but I didn’t make one this time ;(

You can actually avoid disassembling words by using the reversed “LADDER” word. There’s another “LADDER” somewhere (you can check the word list / full map), and with the help of “LADDER” you can have just enough blocks.

Glad you liked it! xD

Really cool idea. Clean execution. Add some sounds, more words and maybe some additional mechanics and you can already sell it. Well done!

Really unique idea and nice clean work on it!Need a better tutorial though.

This is the most unique take on the theme i've seen so far. The game could probably do with having some music rather than just silence.

Really liked the concept of a reverse crossword. Very unique idea. The only thing I would suggest is a tutorial where the game walks you through how to play and how to get each word. Overall great submission!

super unique idea for sure, and i like that you made a word game for a game jam (those aren't too common). i do wish the game had a tutorial rather than having to refer to the screenshot provided to get how the game worked (i didn't know that the numbered square had to be up front for like 10 minutes).

Quite unique idea! It was really fun to play a wordy game this year

Great game

Really unique concept. Congrats!

Great idea and nice, polished execution! I think it'll be a great hit if you release it on mobile

Thank you! Perhaps just use regular words (no reverse), with some plots and polishing it can be a fun english learning game lol

Might be a good idea xD

That's an interesting concept!

Some music and sound effects would be nice, but it is an interesting take on the crossword!

Very unique concept, a little confusing but cool!

I was compelled to keep trying to work out what was going on, but I really found it hard to work out how the game worked. Once I got stuck in the middle of the puzzle without understanding why my spelling didn't work, I wanted to stop.

I really liked the combination of both your ideas :)! Good job!

This game has a fun idea, but I was a little confused at the beginning because if i made he words reverse - it didn't work -> like from bottom to top. But the Game idea is great!  Well done! the  Mechaniks work as intendet :)

Thanks for playing it! I was trying to let the players to figure it out without tutorials etc., but seems it is quite confusing. I need to learn more on designing stuffs! xD

I had trouble at the beginning and I'm still a little bit confused about the rules. Still, I reached almost the end, when suddenly I had no more squares to move and still needed 1 more to finish the final word.

Still, a really good concept and a unique twist to the game!

Thank you for playing! Yea perhaps it is quite confusing …

Basically you can move the word “REDDAL”(ladder) next to princess. That word also appears there, and with it as the “ladder” you now have extra blocks.

Now that makes much more sense! If so, maybe a small warning or tutorial could be helpful in these kinds of situations.

Developer

Sure! Maybe next time I will try to introduce this mechanics by some easier examples so people can figure it out. Thanks for your comments! -w-
