Ridiculously cool game

Beat it! cool game, just too bare. I know you were going for minimalistic, but dang broski, enough is enough, at least some wind sounds or meows when the cat(s) is/are pushed :\

Super simple, yet super effective. Winner is you ;)

Push The Cat is an adorable letter/navigation puzzle. It's similar to 'Baba is You' in its mechanics, but is also entirely its own thing! For cat-lovers and logophile's alike, this game is a real brain-teaser wrapped in cat evangelism.

Detailed Review

=========================

[ + + + + - ] :: ENJOYMENT

I fell in love with this game really fast! I'm not a cat person, but this definitely gave me 'Baba Is You' vibes. I especially appreciated how much personality went into all of the text; even though it was just another mechanic of the game. This was really well done!

The puzzles were challenging, albeit frustrating at times, but I was able to get all the way back to the main menu!

If I could make a suggestion; I think being able to access a menu would benefit the game a lot. I was afraid to exit the game (took me 2 sittings to play) for fear I'd lose my progress.

[ + + + + +] :: CREATIVITY

The creativity goes hand-in-hand with the gameplay in this instance. Having the letters be the controls was creative, clever, and... there are just so many layers of creativity here, and I love it!

[ + + + + - ]  ::  PRESENTATION

You did a great job making the sentences part of the game. I'm giving 4 stars because I can't imagine that was very easy to pull off! I feel like there could have been audio, music, or maybe even some added visuals to enhance the experience; but you did an amazing job with what you had!

Confirming my reviews. I left yours as-is. Am I following you yet? I'm giving you a follow. Look forward to see what comes next!

I pushed the restart button out of the level and got stuck :)

Overally a nice puzzle game, very difficult at times. The minimalist visuals are good though some music would help a lot. Still, a nice game

omg i really like this

just 1 thing: tracking letters is hard when they instantly teleport, just needs a slight interpolation in the position and the game will feel 100% polished to me

Great game, your Baba Is You inspiration really came through and it gave it a lot of charm, some of the puzzles are really good, when I got to the goal moving level my reaction was "WAIT YOU CAN DO THAT?!" and I think that says a lot about how cool the game concept and how well its executed

I clicked the A in How To Play by accident and immediately fell in love with this game

Level 18 was convoluted as hell though, needed the hint for that one xD

Submitted(+2)

same lol

i didnt get to level 18 tho

Submitted(+1)

Really cool idea, level 8 broke my brain though.

Submitted(+1)

Very interesting and unique mechanic :)

Submitted(+1)

Really creative game ! It's pretty emtpy, tho. But I guess I can't complain since the text is the level.

Submitted(+1)

Wonderfully creative! At first I was so confused why W A S D were used instead of just arrows but once the words came out it blew me away! Great job!

Submitted(+1)

Really really creative. I like puzzles and this is peak!

Submitted(+1)

This is so clever!!

Submitted(+1)

What an original idea. I love it when developers experiment with the limits of the game. Plus there are a lot of levels and they are super well designed. Even the simple graphics look great. It's very very good. Congratulations!

Submitted(+1)

Very clever level design!

Submitted(+1)

This is actually such a good game. Real clever puzzle game and real cute!

Submitted(+1)

Good iteration on the Baba is You concept, had fun playing the 20 levels! Puzzles were smart and well designed.
