I thought of this idea for my game, but I couldn't think of a way to make the game fun in my head. You managed to make it really fun and challenging while also feeling balanced and very polished! Well done, the music sounds very fitting for the game! Nice submission!
I really like the movement impacting your firerate as a mechanic. The sprites also look really clean. Thumbs up.
I love it!. I actually thought of reverse galaga when the jam started too, but i thought it would be weird to control the ships the way that they move in galaga. You did a great job of making controlling the ships fun and I like that you made your own unique ships for this too. Great job!
very cool! a little difficult, but thats okay, i like the team management stuff lol
Hi Dex! Lookin' good with the space bug game. I think I'm getting the hang of it.
Cool concept! I liked the physics and the firing chaos you can create as you move the ships around. Fun game, nice!
i love how you can move your ships chaotically and sometimes escape the bullets and even shoot some enemies, that was fun :D
would love to have a small piece of a story in the beginning!
the art is also very nicely done :)
This jam has seen a lot of "this game but you play the bad guys", yet there's only a few where the developers seem to reveal a hidden other game that's been there all along. This is definitely in that camp!
This was a fun idea! Throwing the ships was implemented really well!
Really satisfying to sling around the ships! Would be interesting to have more control, but great job!
Nice idea with reversing bullet hell. I guess some enhancement to gameplay would make it much better, but the idea is super cool
Cool little game, the art and music are great! Gameplay feels perhaps a little passive but execution is top notch
Very cool concept! We were thinking about making a shoot'em up reversed, but grabbing the ships with the mouse in order to move them out of the bullets was a very clever idea! Congrats on the results!
hey! Thanks I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. Only thing is I had 2 other hero ships about halfway done when I realized I wouldn’t have time for either, so we’re left with just the one guy. I might update the game., so if you’d like to see more, drop me a follow or I can’ try to comment just lemme know.
Feels like how Pinball would play inside Galaga, hahah. I mean that in a good way. Great concept, some execution is a bit wonky with the bounces/hit reacts and all but that's expected in a jam game. The UI (I guess mainly the font) also felt inconsistent with the rest of the art otherwise. But overall, fun, creative jam game!
Super fun concept! How has nobody(as far as I've seen) made a reverse perspective Galaga type game. Picking up the ships felt a little inconsistent at times, but really sick for a jam game, great job :D
I tried fiddling with adding a grab_buffer, but my cognitive load was too high and my code was getting messier and messier and my methods more and more sketchy, so I just gave up on that cuz I still had stuff to add. Haha.
anyway, I KNOW RIGHT? I feel like the idea of controlling the drones is brilliant. I had an idea while working on it for an auto battler based on Galaga where you earn ands select what units are on the field while the heroes send more and more units/higher class ships at you. Could be a neat like mobile game or something akin to Loop Hero.
