@Ennea @leorean @marpir As a chess fan I would say its a new masterpiece concept very interesting very clear, I would love to see more levels :D
That's a very cool and original idea! Nice graphics too. In principle I like the game play as well: there are some nice small puzzle challenges that emerge while playing. Though often there's a bit too much waiting around for the enemy AI to do something stupid (and the slow animations for rooks and bishops don't help). Nevertheless: in all this is a very nice game!

This is such a beautiful composition of two incredibly different genres. I am a huge fan of chess, although I am terrible at it. Knowing how each piece moved was helpful but the UI highlights were an excellent reminder. The idea of taking the piece you conquers power to solve dungeon puzzles is nothing short of genius.
The music was awesome, the gameplay was simple and effective. I am not sure what sort of feedback I could provide to help improve the game - so I will just say, well done! Good luck in the rest of the jam!

interesting gampley, i think the art was very well polished and the music was pretty good as well.

Please King not Pawn. I beg you. Not mentioning some tiresome moment like hoping that Horse will land on one specific tile or being blocked by pawn in 8x1 tunnel. Fun game regardless
really like the idea
Super fun game and easy to understand! Lots of strategy depth in how the enemy pieces move and how you become whatever you kill. There is a ton of RNG involved though and sometimes you can be screwed if the enemies decide to move in ways which box you in.
Awesome game, really fun, and easy to pick up! I'm not a big fan of chess, but I really loved this experience! The gameplay is very addictive, great job :D 5/5
really good game and it made me remember how to play chess now as well as a bonus

Very cool idea! I really like the blending of two types of game. Some of the gameplay felt a bit random but that could be that I'm not good at chess.
