Thank you for the feed back!
The monsters attack was only a randomized jump forward to attack the player, the way to avoid it was if you saw the screen begin to turn red you just needed to duck to the left or right. I would have loved to provided more messaging with sound effects and animation but I had run out of time sadly. As for the sound effects I don't fully know what went wrong there, some just wouldn't play while other were fine but I did both make and implement them in the last 2 hrs I had at like 1 in the morning.

Thank you for playing and i'm glad you got to enjoy it!

Had a great time with this and you gave me a good jump with that explosion, honestly shocked that you managed to get so much done in the short time provided for this jam, truly impressive work my friend. Honestly was hoping for more but man you had already created so much, how could I ask for more, great work!

Here is my game, it is a second person light horror game: https://itch.io/jam/acerola-jam-0/rate/2581815

I'll rate your game after work!

Here is my game, it's a second person light horror game, sorry to hear you didn't have enough time to publish but I commend you for trying your best, well done!

The shaders are really good and I'm rather impressed that you managed to create a game with a rather large scope, though i'd probably recommend in future that you go for a game with a lower scope in hopes of being able to polish it more. There were a few bugs rather frequently along with the camera being a bit annoying but I see a lot of potential with this game. You could really make some good content with this game with some more polish. Great work!

Good day, I'll play a couple of the games here, been having fun playing some the games on here but I only get short periods of time to play them during the day due to work and friends but I'll do what I can. Here is my game though, it is a second person light horror game, enjoy: https://itch.io/jam/acerola-jam-0/rate/2581815

I really liked the art style approach, felt that the maze was rather easy to navigate though and the only problem I had to face was the monsters which happened to not be very difficult to deal with when I discovered I could shoot them through walls. Overall really liked how it looked and maybe if it was more of a escape focused game by making it possible to duck past the monsters or hide from them, that would have been great.

There are a lot of games here already but I'll post mine here if you still feel up to playing it, I hope you enjoy, it's a second person light horror: https://itch.io/jam/acerola-jam-0/rate/2581815

One of my favorites so far, definitely needs more rating than what it has

One thing I try to do when I make games is try to make games without tutorials intentionally, trying to lead players to a goal through map design and leading visuals. I felt for the first half of the game I had achieved this but I believe I made a mistake by not having a light turn on in the hallway when plugging in the battery to the socket and I should have also had the socket more visible in the foreground to the camera. Thank you for giving it a play though, I'm glad you enjoyed it :)

Thank you very much, I had always wanted to work on one as I've liked the concept for some time so I'm glad I brought it to fruition. Thank you for playing and enjoying :)

I'm not traditionally an artist as I'm an game dev Engineer at work but I learnt how to create 3D object and texture them back in university. I used this Jam as a refresher on my skills and had a lot of doing it, glad you liked it but yes I apologies for it being slow. I programmed the game in about 8 hours so I kind of slapped it all together due the rest of the game taking about the other 40 of my hours I had available to me.

Thank you, I too would of loved to have improved the camera, I just didn't leave myself with enough time to program it as I focused mostly on art this Jam, glad you liked it though :)

Thank you for playing! Yea I do wish I spent a little more time on the camera but I only gave myself about 8 hours total to program the game so I either had to focus on the camera movement or player movement more, I chose the player as I didn't want anyone getting stuck. The camera is moved with just code but I have also later noticed that the camera moves differently on different computers due to me neglecting to use Time.deltaTime which might explain why it's nauseating on some perspectives comparably to others. Over all had fun making it and I'm glad you got to give it a go.

Love the story, super straight forward and bang on the theme, thought it was great. Had trouble following the torches but eventually found my way and won, lots of fun!

Wonderful story telling, had me engrossed in it the whole way through. I usually always try to give some form of negative feedback which is actually a little hard to give to this one but perhaps if the game could have had some element of player interaction/gameplay. The story was wonderful and presented great too but But felt a little bit like I was reading an animated novel that I was flipping the pages for by moving around. Overall, wonderful work and I had a pleasant experience playing this game!

I rather like the changing between game modes but it felt like more of a hassle after a bit of time as their was no reward for doing it other than you got to live which wasn't to hard to achieve. Would love to have seen it perhaps be used as the key to opening doors instead of collecting keys as you go, example: approach door,  survive aberration, door opens. All over I think it was a rather neat idea, great work getting it all done!

I absolutely loved the story in this, wonderful pacing and actually left me wanting more. The combat has a lot of potential but did feel slightly unfinished or perhaps not used to its full potential, would have perhaps liked some ranged projectiles that needed to be dodged by jumping perhaps. Great use of the assets you used/created, reusing the same scene for all elements of the story was enough which I think was a great move to allow for more time to put work into other elements of this game which really shows. Brilliant work!

I'm at work at the moment by ill give yours a download now and play it in a bit.

Thank you very much! ill be checking your game out when I get a chance as I'm at work at the moment but keen to give it a go!

I'm an engineer at my day job but going into this Jam I decided I'd focus on most things outside of programming, so I kept my programming pretty simple using only about a quarter of time for it. In my game I made everything myself except for the player animation as I sadly ran out of time but I did rig the model myself: https://gizimo.itch.io/mouth

Difficult but fun, lots of oppertunities for some very fast paced and impressive races if you can adapt to the skill level required to do so.

Thanks a ton for playing, glad you enjoyed it!

well done

Thank you for your feedback. I do apologies for the poor instructions, I unfortunately screwed up the canvas scale to screen size feature in unity.

Thanks for enjoying the game, your feedback was very usefull. Thank you :D

Most visually pleasing game I've seen yet, brilliant work on the visuals and the concept seems super fun however their were a fair few bugs that made it rather hard to play but I would love to see it with all the bugs fixed. Was literally stunned by the visuals and atmosphere, Brilliant work. :D

Freaking loved this game, you guys are absolute legends for going for such a high scope game. loved it, had lots of fun with it. almost thought the game wasn't gonna work at the start because of the gray screen but I was glad I stuck around and waited because that was fun. A few confusing mechanics and slow spawn rates but I just had so much fun running around whacking everything that I didn't care heh.

A very fun game that i feel ill probably keep around for a while to try and beat my high score sometime

Loved the idea, was really unique but was disappointed by the small amount of levels but that's completely understandable. Would love to see more levels added to it in the future :D

Thank you very much for playing my game :D i'm glad you enjoyed it

Was a fun game and fairly enjoyable, had a bug where i could die after hitting restart so that kinda made it annoying to start the whole game over again to try and finish and when it happened again i just gave up but the concept was fun and before it broke i was enjoying it.

Great game, would love to see this game go a step further and see more levels and fix some of it's few problems with level design.

Was a very fun game, played it till completion and made the king fall >:D The last level was a lot of fun but some of the other levels could have used some work namely the one before the last level. I found myself just going back and forth waiting for the castle on the line to just go somewhere else because if i went on the line i would just die but he just kept going back and forth. other then that it was a very fun game, thank you for the enjoyable experience.

Great fun and enjoyable game, very interesting concept that you went to great extent to  execute in a wonderful matter.

Great concept and art, the game is addictive however very frustrating. still a very enjoyable experience.

Such a beautiful game, it astounds me that you made this in just 48 hours. I'd recommend this game to anyone that is looking into the game jam games.

Glad you enjoyed it and yea sadly my artist and musician team member weren't able to participate due to other requirements but I managed with what I had.

Thank you Very much :D I'm glad you enjoyed it.
