Reminds me of 'Project1on' from 2019's jam. very good.
This is a great concept! Transitioning between 2D and 3D is great, and it has a lot of potential for you to expand on. I think that it might be easier for the player if the left and right keys moved the player in both dimensions. as if the player can only move in one direction at a time depending on dimension then having 2 different movement keys for each is kind of unnecessary. Lastly I think your style is great. You have something perfectly usable without any art assets, so good job on that.
Awesome game! great music, great visuals, love the concept of 2d and 3d, this can be a full mobile game. I just notice that there is friction on the terrain so you can just hang on the wall.
An awesome submission! The game has a great core mechanic that gives rise to interesting and fun gameplay :D I love the smooth shift between perspectives and the clever level design that facilitates the full use of each dimension and that challenges the player. Well done!
This was a very stylish game with great visuals. I like the idea of switching between 3D and 2D perspectives, though to be honest I'm not really sure what the benefit is of switching to 2D here. In other perspective-switching games like Super Paper Mario, switching to 2D would "hide" the elements that were in 3D, so you'd be able to pass 3D obstacles by switching perspective. Here, it just felt like 3D levels but unable to move forward without switching to 2D and not seeing the obstacle. This meant switching constantly to 3D just to nudge my character a bit and then back again to actually progress. I also found that the pixel-by-pixel nudging my player character into the exact spot to be a bit finnicky, and would have preferred snappier controls that move my character one block-unit at a time, if that makes sense. But overall I thought this was a great game with an excellent atmosphere!
By the way, we played your game on our stream last night!
Thank you so much for the feedback, and for playing our game on stream :)
Great idea and great execution. I like the surprise of being able to look at a different angle while in 3D. I do wish there was some gauge on direction and depth though. I found it hard to figure out if I was past a spike or not and I kept getting stuck on the hole in the wall level because I thought I pushed the box in the right spot but I off by a smidge so I couldn't get the PC through the hole.
thank you so much
Super fun game! I love the simplistic art style and the dimension switch mechanic! Awesome work overall!
thank you !!!
It was bit frustrating but nice
One thing is missing is you didn't say about movement in 3D Dimension
I was confused for a bit of time
Can you Play my game!??!?
thank you
yes will check it out
A little frustrating like catmario, but fun.
thank you
A really fun game. I found the moving platforms being the same colour as the launch pads a bit confusing. The part where you had to jump on moving platforms was really hard, but it felt great when I finally passed it. I think the acid pools should bring you back to the mid level checkpoints, not the very start. In unity, if you change the physics material of the ground / player to slippery, it stops the player sticking to walls / boxes. The level design was really good, and the few mechanics were fun. The combinations of mechanics were really fun, like when you were pushed to the middle by the bounce pads and had to jump over the spikes. I loved this game!
thank you so much for your feedback
Awesom cover art - game is fun.
thank you
"validationnnnnnnnnnnnn" :- cover artist :)
The subtle shadows on everything really made the game pop. I really like the concept, though once it started getting to the moving platform puzzles, I felt it became more annoying then fun.
thanks for the feedback
Looks really cool! Awesome take on the theme😁
thankyou
This is a pretty cool take on the theme, and well put together too. I prefer simple mechanics because I don't want to have to go through long tutorials, and you did a good job on that.
My only complaint is that the movement in 3D was somewhat confusing because the key pressed did not align with the direction I was moving, so visually that was a little confusing to my brain (:
I though the music and art were simple but they worked and didn't have any complaints there, the overall feel was very "clean" and "minimalist" and I appreciated the consistenency.
Thank you for making this. I think we actually took similar approaches to the game jam, although our mechanics are different, so I would love your feedback on my game as well.
thank you
Loved the visuals and music, some of the levels felt like they had some unfair checkpoints, but overall, really enjoyed this one!
thank you
Amazing game with a cool and unique idea! The levels are interesting and well-designed. I really like the simplistic graphics and the calm music.
thank you
Good concept and great execution. The music is nice too. Would have loved to see some sound affects. Nice job!
thank you
The game was very unique. Using both dimensions is an amazing and well-fleshed out mechanic XD. The music was very smoothing and I love the difficulty of the game. The game was an joy from start to finish X]
thank you so much
Cool concept! Not being able to move forward in the 3D view kinda slows the gameplay down, but I understand cuz if it was movable, players won't use the 2D view :p Nice work, I enjoyed it!!
thank you
I really liked this, the concept was cool and well executed, it would be really cool if you stuck with the concept and kept working on this one
thank you
