Nice work, the art is great and I enjoyed the mechanics and controls.
Nice Concept! As others mentioned, a little bit of feedback in combat would be a good idea. But good job! :) The art and sound are great!
Good presentation, and fun idea. Sadly there's no progression, no hit marker, buggy collision, no power-ups (a cool star that would unite the two into one for a period of time with increased speed and damage could have been a cool concept), very slow scrolling and a lack of "fun". Too bad as I really enjoyed the core concept.
We unfortunately ran out of time for polish, this was the first time we've created a top down game with a custom engine, making development more difficult since we had to iron out framework issues during the jam. We still had a great time though, all your points are totally valid! Perhaps we'll upload a new version after the jam that have some more features, we'll be using this as a testcase to improve the framework and make it much better.. Thanks for the feedback!
I like the presentation though it's pretty annoying that there's no indication of when you get hit or how much health an enemy has left.
I liked the overall aesthetic, but I wish the combat had a bit more feedback! Like knocking back or really showing my hurt the enemy would have been fun. Its a cool idea though, and I do love me some top down combat!

Very nice art and concept. I didn't understand if there was any objective for the player. That was kind of missing.
The gameplay is super interesting! I don't know why but the music/sound didn't play on my browsers (I tried Firefox and Safari). I would a little return when hitting a enemy (maybe was the case with the sound I don't know)
It was very confusing to play, and not very satisfying. Also it seemed to crash when I died.

we might have bitten off a bit more than we could chew and where left with too little time to address some of the important issues
The fighting mechanic was not very satisfying (the sound was good, but there was no impact sign).
The movement may be tailored a bit, I found myself stuck at times and cannot move, and the speed may be faster to get the pacing right.
Those are some of my suggestions, other than that the game is quite well presented and I have quite a lot of fun also!
Hey nice entry! The art is cute as is the music :) The attack was a little short range and combined with the low movement speed compared to enemies I found I was just chasing them around for ages unable to hit haha
I love the color merging. I made a similar game about colors. Check it out.
