Good concept and presentation. Relaxing music. Gets very challenging. Specially the level with 4 particles.

How does your game fit the theme?
Superposition is the quantum phenomenon where particles are joined together in multiple places at the same time. In this game, the player guides particles to join together and achieve superposition.

It really felt intuitive to play and the entanglement concept was really nice too. Levels felt a but tough but thats on me.
Really fun game! I think you did some great levels with the concept of moing two characters at the same time :D One of the last levels was a bit frustrating in the sense that it didn't give you enough time to look at the level before killing you. The game is clear and nice looking, great job!
Unlike a lot of other puzzley games like this in the jam, I always felt like I was able to plan out my path and figure out what to do, and things always felt fair. I wish the controls had been a teeny bit more precise. Everything felt really good, but sometimes I did feel like a short tap on a direction moved me a little more than I wanted to which meant the difference sometimes on the harder levels. Level 12 was maybe a little too reflex intensive for my taste, but Level 13 definitely made up for it by being one of my favorite levels of the Jam. Had a great time!
This had a lot of polish on it! Dying felt good, and the transition screens felt smooth.
USB. You are Evil.
Onto the actual paragraph. There were some crazy difficult levels in this, and some crazy puzzles throughout and a lot of really cool and challenging level design (and really evil level design).
Controls were great, physics were painful, and the evil lasers were everywhere. But as for actual suggestions:
- An indicator of either which screen you died on, or where exactly you died from. Just to avoid situations where you randomly die without much indication of what you actually died to. Since that can lead to a decent amount of frustration.
- Tweaking the physics a bit might be good. Mostly due to the fact that when I was playing there were a decent amount of times where I just barely looked to get near a ledge and rolled off. Which did it sorta frustrating, though I did end up learning to work around it though. So could just be annoyance from early on talking.
This is a nice game, and well presented too. There is a significant challenge which kept me going for a while too, so that was great; props on the level design! A couple of times it felt a bit finnicky to get stuff lined up properly, but I can appreciated that that may be a draw to some! Otherwise, it has everything necessary for a great puzzle game with a good interpretation of the theme, too - nice!
You have pretty good level design and music at the game. Good work!
You may also look at our game too, if you have a time :)
Pretty good game actually! But it got a bit frustrating relatively quickly as a puzzle game. I'll explain below:
Good things first:
You've nailed the presentation well I'll give you that. Especially as you've made your art and sound everything on your own, good on that! The simplistic, but well polished art carries alot!
The platforming is smooth and easy to control! Well done! I find myself thinking more about the puzzle rather than fiddling with the controls itself, which is something you want to focus on.
Caveats:
I wished you would allow the moving lasers to stop moving (and tell the player which direction its turning) before the player moves. This can let the player first absorb the situation. I never got past level 12 simply because the of that.
The death sound FX is loud, obnoxious and get annoying fast. And given that the level auto restarts, it gets stale VERY quickly.
From a design point of view, I would suggest that you allow the player to see both the superposed particle on each screen so it's easy to compare and contrast the distance between them. This is important for the earlier levels where you have to fine tune their distance before entering the portals.
I hope I don't sound like I'm bashing the game, but I actually REALLY like this game. The caveats I've point are the last remaining pieces that prevent me from fully enjoying the game.
Once again, this is a great game!
I love the feedback, I agree with pretty much all of it! Tuning SFX (and music in general) to be quieter is much needed, and I'd love to redesign some of the levels to provide more safe spaces for the player to sit and observe the level and put together a plan (as opposed to dying over and over again). Seeing the superimposed particle on each screen is an interesting idea, and I wonder if there's a cool way to overlap the level geometry and the players together without adding too much noise. Definitely more polish is needed, and thanks for all the very detailed feedback!
Fantastic game design, music, and art! There is nothing to complain about for me, really interesting take on the theme :D Great job :)
When I first saw the theme, I immediately thought of superpositions as well, I'm glad to see a game that implemented that idea into a set of incredibly fun puzzles!
The art style also fits the game super well, all around I had a great time with it. Great work!
Very nice take on the "controlling multiple characters" mechanic. Some interesting puzzles and overall a polished game. Well done!
This game has really nice visuals and audio (and a good death animation that I saw way too many times), and is a wonderful flavoring of the theme.
How is it to blow ones mind?
Just like that!
Wow!
it hurts, and this pain is soo good :D
overall nice and polished puzzle game
and just maybe check my game out too
