Why is this so good?? :)

Oh, thanks a lot! :)

This game is one of the ones that I was able to have fun haha. It has a tutorial, and i got to learn how to do things.

The idea is great; I see that you focused on getting gameplay out so I will be light on the presentation.

I could see this becoming a game with neat graphics, maybe there’s a baby rabbit on top of mama rabbit and they solve puzzles together, lol.

nice music, too.

Thanks for the feedback! Actually, i wanted to keep the game pretty abstract, because it (in my opinion) fits the mood. I won't be working on this any further, but if i would, i definitely would add some background story that explains why you need to get to the end of the level.

Nice   concept,   it   got   kinda   tricky   for   me   but   it   was   very   entertaining

Developer

Thanks!

Really cool concept.  Nice work.  I like the effects you added when the two squares snap back together.

The concept is great but the hitboxes are finicky

This is a new concept that I haven't seen before.  It's pretty fun.  I noticed a few problems with collision, and there was a couple of places I could really cheese it for my advantage.  I'd recommend using bigger colliders, or change your rigid bodies to constant so it's always checking for collision.  That should stop the cheesing problem :P

As other commenters here have said, it's a great idea. The levels are fun and inventive. The collisions were a little rough to deal with and having the game broken into levels would have made it easier to keep playing. Good work overall!

I really love the gamepay and the puzzles, well done!

Submitted(+1)

Good idea ! The collisions were very strange, did you use "discrete" collision detection instead of "continuous" ?

The level design was not bad, the levels were basic but efficient.

Developer

Yes, i did, I'll fix it next time, thanks

This is a nicely set up puzzle! The idea is here and the camera moment and music are solid. Platform controls are pretty tight. The only thing missing here is a bit of love on the presentation!

understandable puzzle - great job! simple color-coded visuals go great with the idea!

I agree with the other comments that the game has an excellent and pretty polished mechanic of choosing both squares or one square.  That was extremely fun to use and had me playing pretty far into the game. As mentioned, the collisions need some work but that never caused any game-breaking issues during my playthrough. The music fit the game very well and was a good selection. My biggest downfall of this game as I was testing what would happen to me if I touched an enemy when I first encountered one and it sent me all the way to the beginning of the game. There have to be checkpoints as I lost like 4-5 minutes of progress.  Also, all the levels are in one scene of the game which caused some freezing when playing on the web player. To kill two birds with one stone, split this massive level into shorter segments on different scenes and have a checkpoint for each of these so that a loss is not devasting. Overall, this game is really well made and I had a blast playing it. Good work!

Very solid game! I loved the music! The only thing I can think of that would be better is that some of the collisions were kinda wonky, like if I really tried, I can get the player to glitch through one of the gates. What I suggest is on the player's RigidBody, turn collision detection to continuous. On any other objects with Rigid Bodies do that too. Just a helpful suggestion. Overall great game though!

Developer

Oh, thanks a lot for the feedback! I will try that with the rigid bodys next time!

nice game.

Great work!
The collisions are kindda messy, but that doesn't ruined the experience.
I really liked the right walk progression. Transmits a nice progression feeling.

Very fun! I got really into its simplicity, and played way more than I thought I would. Great stuff!

Thanks!

Very fun and engaging game! Sometimes I was confused whether the squares where connected or not, so an on screen indication of that would've been helpful. Other than that, a very fun game!

Developer (1 edit)

Yes, you're right with the indication! Thanks for the feedback!

I liked the concept, also how you attach at same point, but with inertia when stop. The tutorial was cool.

As suggestion, you could make also the arrow up as jump key.

Great work, the game keep me playing until end.

Developer

Glad you enjoyed it!

I like the mechanic of using two different size squares to work together. I'd suggest tightening the controls a bit and increasing the jump height of the smaller square. Nice work with this game!

Developer

Thanks!
