This game really needs more ratings! Its super fun and a great, simple, original concept perfectly fitting for a 48 hour game jam, with some more presentation this could be an amazing arcade game!
I'd also really appreciate feedback on my game! https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2020/rate/695512
So creative and unique platformer game, I liked it!
What did I like?
- The mechanics of the game.
- The art of the game.
- I liked that you need to type the same text on the screen to start the game, and to jump. (So inspiring!)
- Very nice UI. (Maybe just use fewer fonts, because you're using 4 fonts, I think)
What I didn't like?
- Too many fonts on the game.
Suggestions:
- Add a score, or a timer. (Score, to encourage the player to play more if you added score add also high score) (Timer to show the player, how long is playing the level)
- Add a pause menu.
- Add the "Exit" button, and use the same mechanic as your game.
Great work! Keep making games, and never give up!
although after a while it might get a bit repetitive, the idea itself is super neat! maybe adding another chart of keys with a slower deadline etc. would add a bit depth to the gameplay loop, but still great work!
It reminds me of Geometry Dash, but you have to use more and more keyboard keys to activate your jump! Very cool concept, and I have fun playing your game. I wish there was a score bar, indicating how many jumps you've done. Other than that, great job!
Interesting little concept, basic but consistent art. I wish the gameplay was less monotonous tho, as the only change through the game was just difficulty. One thing I didn't like was the increase in keys was based on a timer, as it might suddenly increase as you're gonna do a jump. I feel it'd be better if you increase whenever you cross a spike or something.
Aah true, I should have changed when the keys increase. The concept took most of the jam to properly develop so I didn't have much time to really polish it. I also didn't want to make the game too difficult and previous iterations of the concept didn't have the auto jump and that just made it too difficult.
