How does your game fit the theme?
This game takes out of control literally as a lot of the gameplay is literally that. Things get messy in the game with fires going wild, babies dying from various things in the scene, with ghosts giving you a bad time.

Did your team create the art for this game during the 48 hour time slot?

Yes

We created all art during the game jam

Did your team create the audio for this game during the 48 hour time slot?

No

We used pre-existing audio

Very out of control! There are so many little details in this game, which is a good thing on one hand, but trying to keep up with all the factors can be stressful and frustrating. The art is very impressive. Good job!

Well it's wired with a little fun

Developer

Yeah we planned quite a lot of ways for the babies to die but didn't have the time, thanks for trying!

Definitely a good fit for the theme, good job!!

Developer

Thanks!

This is a neat game and a unique submission that fits the theme well! Like some others, I found it a little hard to get the hang of the game but I got there in the end.

I liked the art style and the environment being so dynamic makes the game feel much more alive and fun to move around in. It wasn't super clear what objects from the environment I could interact with from afar (but the highlight circles when you get close are a nice touch).

I didn't get massively spooky vibes, I think because the music is so upbeat. But when my energy got low and the baby was sitting in the garage I definitely felt out of control! It looks like you spent some time getting some core systems running (like a save system, pause system, etc.). I'd recommend for such a short game jam to really focus on nailing down the core game loop and onboarding process for players.

Also, I accidentally killed a baby with a fork. Oof...

Well that was a fairly morbid game. Was a bit confused about what I could do with the items, but I got there in the end. Definitely a different take on the theme, which I really liked. Overall a cool unique submission.

Developer

Yeah it's a bit morbid and a friend even said it's masochistic lol, thanks for trying our game and provide feedback :)

Dang that kid was determined to drown himself lol. nice looking game. a little confusing at first but enjoyable

Developer

Yup, didn't manage to put tutorials and informatics widgets and stuff in... Thanks for trying our little game :)

I couldnt quite figure out how to play, which is kinda detrimental to a game jam game. Nice art, but it was very unclear what to do, what items had what kind of function, etc

Developer

I understand, we were rushing the whole time throughout the jam, thanks for playing though! Lesson learnt from my first jam - not too ambitious!

Total chaos! Excellent embodiment of the theme, which I love. It was a bit hard to figure everything out at the start (Sprinting cost me all of my energy immediately, and I didn't realise where my bed was), but well done, if a bit too visually busy, especially at the start; could've benefitted from a tutorial of sorts to ease you into it, but time constraints are pretty hard!

Developer

Thanks for trying our game. Your game - Nautical Nausea is really interesting too!

So much going on. Its a nightmare. Chaos! good fit to the theme. fun art and so many interactable. I failed so much but loved watching the house slowly burn down for some reason. Keep up the good work.

Please checkout our little game when you get a moment.

Thanks a lot! I played Loco Stoko and your team did really well too! Congratz!

I love the idea of the babysitter job being insane. Certainly can feel like that though I feel like I wasn't sure what was happening here so it was a bit hard to enjoy. I suppose having less controls could help or maybe less hazards/interactables at the beginning to make it easier to learn what does what. Overall not a bad game jam entry

That was clearly not made in 48h for the jam...

Developer

I can't tell whether this is a compliment or not lmao but regardless, thank you for trying our game!
