I really enjoyed playing great job

Good game, I enjoyed the game play.
Only suggestion I have is that a little more view of the map would have been nice. Felt a little claustrophobic, but I don't is that was the intention.
Overall good job.

Nice game. It can get tense when you know a cat is nearby. Or you get a jump scare if you didn't! Some of those creepy tiles were a nice touch too.

Thank you, glad you liked it. Originally I thought about calling it The Meowing or Evil Cat Labyrinth, but I didn't. Now I think I kind of regret it.

That was certainly quite interesting. The first couple of levels explain the mechanics well. However, I couldn't figure out how to complete the level with the cats. I guess they need to fight each other, but I'm puzzled.

Developer

The objective is the same in every level. You just have to find the door. I'm guessing your talking about level 4 where the cats are first introduced. There is a door in the same room as one of the cats, the really big room. You just have to go in there.

Cool game! Maybe the main mechanic isn't fully explored but for a game jam is good work!

Thank you I loved your game as well.

Although do you really think the main mechanic is not fully explored? I thought to myself all I could do with the cheese was use it to bait the mouse so I made a level where you could overeat to death, lead it to get ambushed, or have it accidentally trigger a switch it shouldn't.

Thanks for responding!
I feel like the game turns into a stealth game where you move with your cursor, instead of thinking about new and more complex uses of the cheese mechanic, or maybe it was intented to be like this, like a twist, if so, sorry for not understanding it at first.
Again, for a game jam is a pretty good game

Developer

Oh I see.

I was going for the game to be simple, I didn't want the cheese mechanic to be complex because I wanted to be sure it would be accessible to all players. This is in fact my first game jam game so I didn't want it to be too complicated.

Good job on the game! The concept is really nice, I enjoy it! However, I had difficulty to find the door/button at the level 2, Maybe you could have teased it with the level design?  Otherwise, I really liked how you introduced the spiders, that was a good way to present their behavior!

Developer

Thank you, it was really easy to do. The way I see it, the more simple something is coded, the easier it is to work with. :)

The door button was at the very end of the stage behind the goal.

Cool stuff! I like some of the level designs and the gameplay's pretty fun. Good job!

I was not ready for this game to be as moody as it is, and the concept is pretty fun and intuitive too, good stuff!

The concept is nice. I had some troubles getting around corners, but maybe that's just me, trying to be clever :D
