I think the gameplay was a good idea. But the game is probably too easy and a bit annoying because the enemy are too slow and it could be more challenging if more enemy spaws.

I really enjoyed your game! I think the mechanic of drawing the sword and shield is very cool and having enemies come from both sides makes it interesting of keeping up before the enemies overtake the castle. I also very much enjoy the pixel art style used for the scene. I think it could make for a great game if you expand it! Great job!!! :)

I love the concept of tracing out a symbol to perform an action which the strength of is tied to how well you traced it, but I do wish there were a few more options to choose from. I felt like I just had to trace the shield on either side like once a minute and then spend the rest of the time tracing the swords to essentially live forever. Some sort of increasing difficulty would be nice too, but maybe I just didn't get to that in the few minutes I played. 

Overall, this was a very interesting and unique mechanic that I could see a full game being built around.

really cool game! the controls were a little finkey and I didn't really understand what to do but the art was nice.

Thank you for playing!  Sorry it was confusing, you need to trace the sword and shield symbols with your mouse to summon attack and defense.  The better you trace, the more powerful the summon.

"hypotenuse road -the longest road to the castle" lol xD  liked the intro story and the concept is an awesome unique way to do a tower defense -tracing shapes under pressure to spawn defense and attacks is a really cool idea!  Really awesome job on this! :D

This game is quite clever but needs a few tactical changes to be more engaging imo.

1. The intro text needs to be skippable. It is slow and long :( Was fine the first time, but when I wanted to replay the game I had to sit through it again. Luckily, after losing it still let me play (?) so I just played with no hp.

2. Without reading the game's description text, the shape-tracing mechanic was not intuitive! I had started pressing the banners and would see a few swords drop and didn't understand why they'd always miss. I eventually figured out that tracing was the way to play, but the in-game that was never explicitly said. With all of the text, it would help a LOT to just say "Trace the shapes of the abilities with your magic wand to cast more powerful spells." I know there was a statement about precise motion, but it didn't land as "trace the shapes in the banners."

Those two small things are my top requests. Everything beyond that is "more abilities + more enemies"! I'd love to see a healing mechanic, a fireball, bigger/slower enemies, etc. Very fun concept. Great work!

Love the tracing mechanic, very satisfying to trace a shape well and be rewarded for it! I think it would be nice to have the difficulty increase over time, I found it fairly easy to just survive indefinitely. The half life scientist death noises were a nice touch! All in all, good job!

Thank you for playing!  I'm especially glad you appreciate the half life scientist death noises, they have a special place in my heart :) .  Agreed the difficulty needs to ramp up, I found that the initial build was way too difficult so i ramped it down, but now what we submitted was too easy :( ill have to update next week.

The idea of imitating the wand movements with the mouse is really good. I liked it a lot.

The only suggestion I can come up with is to reduce a bit the text at the beginning or introduce a key to skip rapid ly. Also, it would be good to explicitly state in the introduction text how to summon the spells (I had to lose, come to the itch page, and read the description to understand what to do).

Apart from these minor things, good job!

The idea for this game is simply amazing! I love how your attacks are stronger if you trace better! It would be nice if there was an in-game tutorial, because it was a little unclear that you had to trace the shapes. I first thought you had to draw in the empty space.  Still, this game is super fun, and the art for the wizard and knights was great! Good job!

a restart button would've been nice but the game itself was a really cool idea! it took me a while to figure out the controls but the game play was amazing! I really really liked the sound effects of the deaths and the game was carried out really well! missed the music though :(

Thank you for playing!  Completely agree, a reset button would be a good addition.  Im glad you appreciated the death noises!  Some of the death noises came from the scientists in Half-Life.

Cool idea! I wasn't good enough to ever trace a shape completely in the lines but it was fun anyway. The dialogue at the beginning was a nice touch.

I liked your approach!

Tracing around spell icons to cast them was fun. I was sad that the game was not fitting my screen, so I could not trace the spells on the far left and right. It was a great experience nonetheless!

Oh no Im sorry to hear that, even when fullscreening it would not fit?  I hope what you were able to trace wasn't too difficult.  The mechanic  It would probably be more fitting as a mobile game.   Thank you for playing!
