This was fun! I was a bit confused as to why you would not fly everywhere, but it was a fun quick boss fight, and I like the added achievements!

Woah, this was fun! I'm a fan of challenges... and I beat this one!  The art is awesome, gameplay loop is fun but might be a bit excessive but it's doable after a while... like 10 minutes to kill the boss? was a bit lol but was very cool. The art really gives me a Kirby feeling, super cute and adorable. Thanks!

I loved the sensation around the cuteness of the aesthetics versus the difficulty level, but I think it was too hard (I couldn't beat the first boss haha). Congrats!

The visuals are really charming and the sound design is good! As others have said, it's just tuned too damn hard. I'm admittedly not great at bullet hells, but I couldn't make it past the first boss. 

I must admit that I feel the genres fit together pretty well, and fairly common, but still you definitely succeeded at combining them in a fun way :)

Still-- I like it, good job!

The main character is really adorable! When you said bullet hell, you really meant it since I had a lot of trouble getting past the first boss.

I think you did well on the theme and visuals while incorporating similar gameplay from something like Cuphead. The charge time for the beam is a bit long but other than that, you did a great job making a difficult bullet hell platformer.

The art is so very cute, I love it! Cheri and Shellhound look like plushies, all very cute and emotive! Music is rad as well, didn't get stale at all.

As for the gameplay, Cheri is easy enough to control, but Shellhound was too difficult. Charge attack takes around 5 seconds to charge (too slow), and deals anywhere between 10 and 20 damage for me, in that time, you're better spamming the shot button.

The amount of health the first boss have is just insane, either give the player more health, or make the player bullets do more damage than 1, apart from that, good art and soundtrack, really good.

A bullet hell? Nice!

Alright, to begin with I have to confess one thing: I never defeated the first boss. For a bullet hell game, the player's own hitbox simply seemed too large and acceleration and deceleration on the player character removed the precise movement that is needed in this sort of game.

I also noted that after releasing a charged shot firing a normal one would turn any charged shots on screen back into the standard hearts, greatly reducing the damage that the boss would take from the attack. And with so much happening on screen, I was unlikely to notice when it was safe to fire another shot in order to prevent this.

In terms of a difficulty scale, the first boss has too much health considering the small damage that your regular shot does. It sounds drastic indeed, but I think you could do with halving the bosses health and therefore allow more players to experience the rest of the game, where you can slowly increase the difficulty. You could think of it like a touhou game; even if the player is on the verge of losing the game, most people should at least be able to finish stage 1.

But on the positive side, the music was really good and got me pumped for some rain-dodging action. I also really liked the concept of the game, and it almost feels like a lost NES or GBC title due to the character design, which was great. The concept of a more powerful attack which requires charging was something I had yet to experience in a bullet hell, so it was nice to finally see how that plays out.

If these problems are addressed, then I think this looks like a very promising game. Nice work!

I'm hopin to address all these problems and more! Thanks for playing yo! A tweaked version of the shooting system will be coming out sometime soon. The low damage will be kept but the damage output will be much much higher and faster! Hitbox tweaking will be made too

I really like the art and overall style, like pretty original boss design! Though as others mentioned here - boss is too difficult it is just impossible to learn his moves when you die so quickly and even if you know the boss it has too much HP to make it without dying ;p

Art is great, I think player health must atlest 10 or above and boss health should be less! still art and music is next level

I looooooove the art in this game!!! :D  It's soooo good and the music too -you guys did an amazing job on this!!  His charge heart puke attack was great too!  very polished and very challenging!!  Really impressive job on this game! :D

Really fun game , don't really see the platforming tho. But I can't even pass the first boss so I don't know if there more platforming behind the first stage. haha

Thanks for playing! The platforming is more or less for the tutorial and for the boss, he adapts to whether you're on the ground running and jumping or whether you're flying! I hope to expand that idea of the game down the line.
