This was a really fun and well-polished game! I loved the pixel art aesthetics here and the game was simple to play and relaxing. I liked the goofy descriptions of the prisoners and the look of the different biomes as well.
I only wished that you were able to attack enemies. Overall: awesome job!

That's awesome thank you for sharing, will be nice to review the playthrough when making improvements to the game :)
I really liked the art style that you guys used in this game. UI is decent. Music also complements the game. Gameplay is a bit confusing. I really like survival games so congrats on finishing this game!
If you have time, please play our game too! I'll also follow you guys to see your future updates on this game! Goodluck! :)
Thank you for taking the time to play and leave a review of our game. Ill be sure to check out your game as well :)
This game was pretty addicting and just fun in general to play!
The gameplay of having to explore all 5 biomes in the game to unlock and collect new resources, and then coming back and upgrading your stuff was cool.
Some of the graphics/art weren't super consistent, like some sprites being higher res than others, some being shaded a little differently, or some having harder or softer outlines, in game fonts not staying the same style, but overall it was pretty nice.
There were also a few bugs I encountered, like my first playthrough having an infinite cutscene bug, or just being able to skip the games progression and instantly repair the ship even though I didn't have the required materials.
Overall, the game was a nice experience, and I spent way more time than expected trying to collect as many resources as I could lmao.
Thank you very much for playing and I really appreciate you taking the time to provide feedback. Sorry for the bugs you encountered, we will work on polishing them out after the jam. :)
The starting cutscences were amaing. I loved exploring the beatiful world that reminds me of my favorite game, minecraft. :)
Thanks! Really glad you enjoyed the game :)
it's freaking amazing, what else can I say ;)
This was such a fun game... The music and art was VERY charming. Big props to the "robotic" voice in the background that gave you advice. I thought that was a really nice touch. I would've liked to see more reward to crafting, it felt very anticlimactic when I rebirthed someone too! Great game!
Thank you so much for playing and for the feedback, when we continue work on the project after I will make sure the crafting is more rewarding :)
Good luck!
Loved the game guys huge well done can't wait to play some more. Art styles top teir not a bad word about it. 10/10 relaxed me after a stressful week.
We’re so glad you enjoyed it!
OK. The web GL version works. That wasn't there yesterday. Really nice work guys! Everything about this game is well made for such a short time. I can tell this is not your first time. Very Nice.
Thank you very much! And yes we had issues with video players messing up the web build, but now that is fixed :)
Thankss! You're right this isn't our first jam - it's our second ;') Cheers to many more, am I right?
Wow......... I don't know where to even begin! This is by far the most I've played on a game submitted in this jam! Played for about 80-ish minutes and got to the ending! :D I love resource-gathering/survival sandbox games like this and wow, I was just so immersed with the setting (love the space theme!). I ended up choosing to take the criminals back to be properly persecuted XD Hahah! I really fell in love with the world and color schemes. I'm at a loss for words with how impressed I am that you were able to produce 5 different types of biomes with their own unique monsters and vegetation/resources! And the time you spent into developing the story and world building is just phenomenal (I read your itch.io game page's story and really enjoyed how in-depth you went on the description). I think this has been one of my most favorite games so far in this jam! YOU HAVE ALL MY LOVE!!!
P.S. At one point I broke your game and the SFX stopped sounding and the ship said I had enough resources to repair when I didn't. I didn't screenshot the ending resources, but this was mid-way through:
Wow, that was such a kind comment, thank you so much I am really glad you enjoyed the game and I really appreciate that you took the time to read the story behind it. We plan on fixing a lot of bugs and making many improvements to the game, for example improving the combat and adding relics of a previous species, like ruins of buildings etc with notes hinting towards the past of the planet. I was wondering if there is anything you would personally like to see in the future for the project? :)) Thanks again, I am really glad you liked and finished the game.
Edit : To do with the sound effects glitching out, this is quite a common bug, I have a hunch to why this is happening and will get it fixed asap :) And with the not needing all the resources, whoops... we may have overlooked that.. xD
Ooooh! I wasn't aware there was a combat feature, oops! O ㅡ O;; HAHA!! I just kind of used the monsters to teleport back to base when I needed to xD I know that was probably not what you meant for players to use them for, sorry!
Honestly, just more content would be amazing! I would totally (and plan to) pay for a "full" version of the game later down the road if you decide to keep up with development! Absolutely lovely!!
We’re so glad you enjoyed it!! Thank you so much for taking the time to play it. Apologies for any bugs you might’ve encountered, it was a bit of a tight deadline.
No no not at all! Nothing that stopped me from playing and thoroughly enjoying the game till the end. :3
very very relaxing game with a satisfying game loop that kept me hooked until the end. even though the incremental mechanics are simple, i ended up thinking about how to best spend resources and time quite a bit.
if theres anything i found myself wanting it's some kind of convenience feature for re-assigning/upgrading multiple or all units at once. there was also unfortunately not much incentive to visit other biomes past a certain point, which is a shame because i like how they look and feel a lot!
Thank you for playing, really glad you enjoyed it. I totally agree, we had planned to scatter remains of an ancient civilization across the biomes to encourage exploration as well as a couple of other ideas. Will definitely work on that after the jam, thank you very much for the feedback. :)
Good to see that you guys fixed it though I played it like few minutes after the first message that it is fixed hahaha
Now going to the gameplay, it feels like those games that I've played before such as collecting lots of stuff. I almost cleared all the woods hahahaha. The music is perfect for the game and I love the design of the world, creatures, and even the player. A fresh look for me :D
One thing probably is to have some rebalancing. It might take ages before the player build something but still, worth the play :) Looking forward for more improved version of this game. Awesome
Thank you for playing, really appreciate the feedback. We will definitely be working on improving the game after the jam, especially balancing. :)
I like how the game has started. The intro makes you want to play it. You have to discover and unlock things. Music fits very good and adds a nice atmosphere. That is pretty cool.
But you have set the requirements for repairing the ship way too high. And I think there isn't really anything one can do. I'm slower than the prisoners so all I can do is trying to level them up. But this also takes ages.
Because you have to make a decission in the end I really would like to replay the game. But I don't want to spend so much time waiting for resources being gathered.
So please update the goal-requirements.
Thank you so much for trying out the game, balancing was definitely the hardest aspect but we will be working on tweaking and making the game more enjoyable. Thank you for the feedback. :)
Same as chizel, can't play the game. It is all black in my end. Can hear the music though :(
Apologies, Windows version works well, the Web build was having some issues where you had to wait about 30 or so seconds before the game could start, since the intro cutscene just doesn't play. Everything should be playable on the web build now, though, so if you're still willing to try it out, you can. Windows build is still the best experience, though.
saw it now. thank you :D
Just patched a game-breaking bug in the web version, The intro should now play if you are still interested in giving the game a try. :)
hrm.... let me try restarting MY system... its been under a lot of stress this week.

This is the first game that I am play-testing for this jam and you've set the bar quite high! First I have to give praise to the music which was really outstanding, it fit the mood perfectly and was a pleasure to have on loop. The only caveat here is that I had to lower it to hear the computer voice upon landing as it was hard to hear what the computer was saying.
Next up comes the gameplay. I found it very intuitive and loved discovering new parts of the world and new resources. The objectives were really clear, and it was fun trying to trade off where to invest my prisoners to gather resources: go for more energy production? go for food to get more prisoners / level up? go for resources to leave the planet? I did find the game a bit grindy towards the end. I had every prisoner lvled up to lvl 12 and only mining a single resource to get to the 8k/4k/2k requirements, finding myself leave the game for a bit as it was a bit slow to get all of that completed. The intro was really well done, the ending was fine as well, although it seemed that I finished in a cell for some reason, I was a bit confused by that. I did find a few bugs left and right (sometimes getting teleported back to the ship, ability to finish the game without the requirements, a few typos, the intro looping after a second playthrough, the game doesn't adapt well to widescreen resolutions -- I had to bump it down on my end...) but overall all those bugs were minor and I was able to go through the game with no problem.
Graphics wise, this was a very solid entry. I loved the art work, the colors that gave different moods depending on which parts of the world you were exploring. The animations were really cute, and everything was visually extremely clear (picking up resources, mining actions, etc). Great work on the shadows as well.
Theme wise, I can see where the rebirth is coming from, but it wasn't a huge part of the gameplay experience. That's totally fine by the way :)
Overall this was a really fun little game. Awesome job to all of you for pulling this together. Really strong entry! Cheers
Thanks for the feedback! Apologies for some of the bugs; we didn't have much time to fix audio and video issues. The random respawning is likely due to collisions with cacti, since we thought having them hurt the player might be interesting, but it was never explicitly mentioned anywhere, so we likely shouldn't have kept in in.
