These are a good variety of events, and the artstyle is again really good, the only thing is, that the pixel density is not consistent on the map. The Events are all completely different from each other and are fun to play. The last one was really difficult and I got confused with the controls, because I always tried to jump with space :/ could be a me thing though. Overall a great job, didnt find any bugs.
Thanks for the feedback. You're absolutely right about the pixel density on the map. I can see how the last level can be confusing too. Basically what's happening is the crystal ball is orbiting the player and holding space will speed up the rotation. So when the crystal ball gets close to the ground, that's when you need to jump and then hold space to bring it around
Your art and music go together super well. Love this style. I also liked taking the events and making them completely original! Great job!
That's fantastic to hear! Thanks :)
I love that you kept the fun telekinetic mechanics from your previous game and expanded on them! All the events are extremely creative, but at the same time, every single one of them is so hard! The only thing that kept me playing was how quick the round was restarted after failing. I eventually managed to beat all of the events, but I surely am not intrested in getting lower times. Still, I am impressed by how many different events there are in this game. Well done!
Glad you enjoyed the mechanics and creativity. Awesome that you beat all of the events too!
Wow, nice game with completely unique mechanics for this round. Very challenging game play. Lots of polish with the sprite animations. Nice work!
Thanks so much for playing! :)
Cool game!
For the controls, I was confused when playing the third minigame: walk escort, I was not able to get the ball up after it fell, pressing space only kept it in position.
Thanks Joszs. That's probably one of the trickier levels. The way to do that one is to hold space to lift the ball up. Tapping space might help to get through a tunnel section later on and then you got to be careful when the player drops down at the top as it'll cause the ball to drop down too
Thanks for confirming. I tried it again, I got the ball up now. :D
Maybe it was bugged last time, I did leave the game open for about 30 minutes, not sure if that could have an effect on the calculation of the psychic powers.
Awesome! Not sure either but possibly. I have a feeling I forgot to stop the gravity of the ball when pulling it up so there could be a bug there with 2 opposite forces at work
A good set telekinesis challenges, the relay was the tough one for me. Loved the overworld and when accidently blowing up the dudes. Fun game!
Thanks for playing. Glad you enjoyed the different telekinesis challenges :)
Though it feels a bit more like a puzzle platformer with a timer than a track and field-remake, I can appreciate the direction you took building on your core telekinesis mechanic. I’ll admit I did find them a bit hard, tried each level but did not manage to pass all of them. Also, a little more in-game text instructions for what to do in each round would help as I had to experiment a bit. Having the overworld map was a fun idea!
Thanks for the thoughtful feedback. You’re right, it definitely leans more into the puzzle side of things and that’s something that I had fun designing. The in-game instructions are a great point too and would certainly make the controls more intuitive. Thanks again for the valuable feedback!
It's nice to see the mechanics pertain from last round's game! All of the events were pretty fun although some felt significantly harder than others, and some were just tedious. My one issue is that it doesn't really have that track and field feel, more just like playing through another world of levels from your last game. Overall though, very nice job!
I’m glad you liked the new mechanics and I guess I did want to continue on from my last round’s game as I enjoyed making it so much and thought I could also capture the running, jumping and throwing elements of track and field in there too. In hindsight, I could have leaned more towards the arcade classic and during development I did just that but I scrapped those levels and ultimately went towards what made it more fun. I really appreciate your feedback, many thanks!
The mechanics is very unique and brings very challenging events :)
I also liked how you added a top down map of events! I really like how you can walk it and choose the event :)
That's really nice to hear and I'm glad you liked the overworld map
