Nice arena shooter, I enjoyed it <3

Pretty cool dungeon game, I liked it. Simple and very fun!

Maybe it would be cool to add a "face-up" / "face-down" sprite to let the player know if the toucan is currently aiming up/down and not left or right. I like what others proposed too: to be able to lock the shooting direction, that would also be awesome.

Good job on the submission!

It'd be awesome if the player could lock the shooting direction while holding the fire button. Pretty solid game overall, congrats!

The enemies and the boss were the highlights here! Loved the designs and the gameplay was straightforward and fun. One thing that would be nice is if the player could shoot in one direction and move around without changing it.

Gameplay was very smooth and straight forward. I like the Egyptian art style and the music really captured that! As a sound designer, I would have liked to have heard sfx for shooting and dying. Otherwise, solid gameplay, art, and music!!

Cute graphics, and lovely arena-like gameplay. It can turn a bit bullet-helly when there's too many ghosts on the screen.

A game with a tucan as a hero! It´s very cool! But in my four runs i did not find a key to open the chests. What i am doing wrong?

Developer(+1)

Thx for playing! The procedural generation is set so that every level should have two chests, one locked door to the boss room and 3 keys. I think you‘d have to search through each and every room :) I think there are a bit too many rooms and thats why its too tedious… but hey, at some point I was just lucky that its somehow playable :)

Nice work on the movement and gamefeel! I wanted to get to the boss but I couldn't seem to find the key or maybe I was just bad? lol

Graphicswise it's pretty clear, which I really appreciate, especially in a bullet hell-y game like this one. Couldve used a bit more polish and a longer theme so the loop isn't as persistent but I kinda loved this little game.

Developer

Thx so much for the feedback, fully agree with the music, that loop was a last-minute activity xD … re the keys see my answer above, there should always be 3 keys, but you might have clear every room to reach them… btw I love your submission

Poor Sam had to find a nighttime job :( Game is really good! Implementing a map is kinda consuming so props to your for that! If anything I would have choose a palette with a bit more contrast :)

Developer

Thx :) yeah i was going back and forth whether to make the damn map lol but I think it was worthwhile, at least I learned how to do it in the process :)
