I had a lot of fun with the mechanics of this. I eventually got stuck on a level with a bunch of reapers that I had to stay above, but I think I was just missing how to use the final gravestone in that area. Great job on this!
Very fun physics puzzle game.
the gameplay is really good in this, the catapult based gameplay is super enjoyable. the art and audio are well made and the pun in the title is pretty cool. Overall this is fun and well made.
That was cool! The mechanics are fun to use. The art is proficient, and the character design is charming.
It's a little odd that there's a music volume option, but not a sound volume option. The default music volume is a bit quiet compared to the sound effects.
All-in-all, great work!
This is so much fun! My first try I was three fires short, and I got them all on the second try, much worthwhile. The launching and bouncing mechanics are great and very rewarding. Reminds me of Peggle. Excellent game!
The catapult mechanics are well done. Feels pretty slick once you get the hang of it.
There are some bugs, i got stuck in a pause menu while still being able to move the character,
also u can re enter the "catapult" right after shooting,
but i really loved the game apart from that!
also... sound wise... are you really sure it's a catapult and not a Prototype Nuclear RailCannon?
make sure to try our game too!
I love these launch mechanics. I just wish the aiming rotation to be faster. otherwise, great!
That is a good idea, sometimes it could be a little bit slow! Thank for playing!
Fantastic entry, one of my favorites!
I really like the feeling and momentum of the player when launched, the ricochets felt really good and the timings/speed are fair. My only complaint would be the one launcher you have to simply drop out of as it isn’t taught earlier in the game - I genuinely thought it was bugged and moving the arrow the wrong way.
Great work overall!
Yeah, I think that maybe I should add other place to remember the player that mecanic
Thank you for playing and your comment!
This was such a fun little game!! I enjoyed it a lot, I was very engaged and it's one of the few games in this jam that I fully completed. Congrats on making a great one!!
It is nice to heard that! Thank you too much for playing and sharing your thoughts :)
I love the gimmick of this one, it's pretty fun to bounce around. I like the ending too when you finish it with all the spirits :D
You got the true ending! That it nice haha It is not as easy!
thank you for playing and enjoying the game :)
I had a lot of fun playing this one! My only piece of feedback is one of the last puzzles relies on you remembering that "B" ejects you downward from the coffin, which no other puzzle seemed to use.
You have a good point! I tried to design the levels in a way that lets the player learn the mechanics without explicitly telling them, though sometimes I could add a couple of hints. On the other hand, I was aiming for that 'big brain' moment when you realize you can use B instead of A, just like you did!
Thank you for playing—I really appreciate it!
This is legitimately fun. I loved the feeling of launching from the graves, and the level design really complimented the ability. I was able to pull off some very satisfying maneuvers and then absolutely rage when I missed a single flame at the bottom of that first vertical line you launch from at the top. Really well done.
Bug found: It seems to have broken once I died a 6th time in a spike pit. The deaths went from 5 to 4 instead of 6 and didn't respawn me, so I was stuck in the spike pit and had to quit.
Thank you for playing!
I'm thinking about that error, I never do 'death_count--' in the code, but this is game development, everything can happen haha
Did you find the 'respawn' option in the menu?
One thing I learned: I strongly recommend adding a respawn button in game jams to avoid scenarios like this 😭
I know the pain. I was making last-minute updates to my submission last night and changed something that was 100% unrelated to another piece in the game. Went to playtest again and the game broke because something changed with that "100% unrelated" part of the game lmao. It's wonderful.
I did not find the respawn option but I also did not go looking lol, I just restarted it.
last minute changes saved the world more than one time haha
I will try your game today and I’ll give you my opinion, the graphics call my attention
Thanks! It's only my second game and I know the controls are not the best, that's my next skill to work on, so totally open to brutally honest feedback! I at least made enough progress to consider it decent in my eyes, especially compared to my first attempt where I tied almost everything to frame rate lol.
I really loved the game play. It felt very creative and was fun to bounce around the place.
Thank you for playing! It is nice to know that you find this game fun :)
