thanks for the feedback, I didn't make the background art got it from an asset pack so I was probably going to change it in an update anyways, and if you do read this, could you elaborate on the failure text? (I've just seen to many people talking about the bad font so) but yeah thanks, I'll be fixing most problems people had with the game after the jam so if you are interested you can come back after.
think it's cool, the problems I had with it was no tutorial (nothing big just saying the controls at the beginning would help) the 3...2..1. is a bit distracting and disruptive, and I think that new enemies get introduced to fast, but those are small problems, I like the art style, music is nice, and the gameplay/gameplay loop is good as well overall, it's a really solid game for 3 days.
It's a bit hard to explain in full depth but biggest thing I noticed was that you moved fairly slow for the short time, and stuff like the jump just didn't feel natural, it felt good enough to play but had that lack of smoothness, overall, the movement just didn't feel natural enough, it wasn't bad but felt off and I can't pinpoint it for some reason (sorry) but again it felt good enough to play so it didn't hinder me to much.
think the idea is cool and it is a challenge but nothing in the game was outstanding, nothing was bad but the art, gameplay, music wasn't standing out to me like in some other games I've played again none of it is bad, but things feel stiff and don't engage me too much. would work on game feel next time, but overall, pretty solid game.
