Awesome game. Perfect level of difficulty. I was on the verge of giving up but gave myself one more shot and was able to beat the final level. If I had to make a suggestion I would have preferred if jumping was the "W" key, and time stop was the spacebar. The reason is so all controls can be on one hand and I don't have to shift my fingers to select a different input
I didn't really understand the theme adherence but that might just be me. Overall a solid game
Thanks a lot :) For controls I went with what felt natural for me but would love to learn how to do rebind-able controls. As for theme I'm curious if someone realizes it, but it's based on an anime (yes the powers and ending are a JoJo reference)
That's a super cool game! Amazing what you achieved in this jam! Maybe it's just me and the lack of coordination in my fingers, but for some of the controls (e.g. dash, freeze) I'd love to use the mouse. Other than that, the best game I played in the Jam so far!
Thanks so much, I'm glad that you like it. As for controls I went for what felt natural to me but I agree I could have added more to fit a wider audience. One of my near-future goals is to learn how to do control re-binds to allow players to adjust them how they like
Nothing to say except that you did a great work. I need more levels.
Glad you liked it. Was thinking of trying to add more, but for the purpose of the jam decided to leave it at 3, where the third is a bit longer and more challenging
Really great the time stop ability was really smooth also the level design was nice!
Thanks a lot :)
Excellent mechanics, I don't recall anyone else doing this. If it's not difficult for you, please rate my project :)
Thank you, appreciate the feedback :) Went ahead and played and rated yours too
The time stopping mechanic is really cool and the levels are well designed around it. One bug I noticed is that you can dash into walls and get stuck and sometimes dash straight through them bypassing parts of the level. Nice game overall!
Thanks for the feedback :) Tried to avoid warping into walls as much as possible, but I'm assuming you found a place that i missed. Otherwise for the final level being able to skip half of it, I know about it and left it there intentionally
Like art style!
Good job!
Thank you :)
The art style/aesthetics are amazing, love the glowing barrier obstacles! Time stop mechanics work really well and are really fun to use. Music and sound effects are great and the difficulty ramps up really well. All in all a great game!
Thanks for the feedback. Glad you like the effects on the barrier, I took time to learn camera filters for this and quite proud on how that turned out :)
I must say, the time stop mechanics are kind of cool.
It can be a little difficult at times, but is a fun game with nice aesthetics.
Good job!
Thanks for the feedback :) I tried going for a more challenging approach, especially for the last level
The time stop mechanic is so much fun! I like it. The music and visuals are great too.
Thanks, glad you like it :)
Awesome game! The mechanics were fun and the visuals and audio were on point. Very well done.
Thanks for the feedback, glad you like it :)
Loved the time freeze mechanic! the movement felt good, i had a lot of fun
Thank you, glad you like it :)
It is a good game!, I like it, it was difficult I think it would benefit if you implement some coyote time on the platforming, but the concept was really good, and the abilities felt great, and the art was really good too
Thank you for the feedback, glad you like it :) I've heard about the coyote time thing you mentioned and I plan on learning how to implement that kind of feature for future projects
Love the concept and the aesthetic. Unique and interesting mechanics. The dash does feel a little unwieldy and it took me a while to realize that I had a limited amount. The difficulty can also be quite punishing at times.
Thank you for the feedback :) Had to make dash limited as I realized during implementation that it was a bit overpowered. Though yeah I could have mentioned it in the tutorial text
Has a nice feel, but the control scheme is not good. Shift and time freeze f/r are too far, plus you also need to use the spacebar
Thanks for the feedback :) For controls I went with what felt natural to me as well as make it playable with just 1 hand. At first time freeze was only on R but after feedback added a binding to F as well as it is right next to WASD. That said, it is my plan to learn how to make rebind-able keys in the future
Always cool to see games play with time! Good job!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed the game :)
great game, well executed. Brings in the mechanics nicely! music and sounds all spot on
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it :)
Cool concept and the game is fun to play .
There are parts in the level where you need to stop time but the obstacles freeze in a position that block you but that's to be expected from time stopping games.
I think an improvement would be adding checkpoints as the final level is quite difficult and could use them.
Thanks, glad you like it :) While designing I haven't considered checkpoints as the levels were planned to be short, but will consider it in the future if I make a similar type of game
I love the color palette, the gameplay and the level design of this game. I liked Sonic x Shadow Generations and the time control levels in Astro Bot, so this one is right up my alley. Nice job!
Thanks for the kind words, glad you like it :)
I haven't seen a mechanic quite like this before! Though it can be a bit frustrating at times, where you have to freeze time to get past a certain section, but the obstacle still blocks your path, meaning you have to wait to freeze time again.
Besides that though, really beautiful pixel game, and very fun to play!
Thanks, glad you like it :) Was wondering how best to tackle those obstacles with more polish, so will take that into consideration for next time
