Nice game! Reminded me of Boxhead! Good to see another project using Unreal. Loved the graphics and gameplay :D
Some feedback: I would increase the reach of the characters attack. Maybe using an animation/particle of an axe swing in front of it, and enemies colliding with this swing would be hit.
One other thing i would do is to possibilitate the character to attack behind whilst running. Since the player uses the mouse to attack, the character could swing the axe in the mouse's direction?

I totally agree with your feedback, those are all something I wanted to do but didn’t have time during the jam. I’m going to continue to work on the game over the next month or so to make improvements and flesh out the systems of the game.

Nice game. Couldn't defeat the final boss, too many zombies spawned. Would be cool if when she gets there the zombies stop spawning so you just have to defeat what's left on the arena. Great submission. Well done.
Thanks for the comment! We're going to continue working on this project, and your idea is one we'll definitely be implementing in version 1.0. The Witch (final boss) has a skeleton summon ability; there shouldn't be additional skeletons spawning outside of that ability during the boss fight. There is definitely balancing we'll need to do as we move forward.

Definitely issues with the spawning system we're already working on, and watching you 100% reinforced that; the spawning system was one of the last implemented and it caused a lot more problems than anticipated. This will definitely be resolved, along with implementing an actual ability/trait system on level-up for version 1.0.

Thanks for the feedback! We really enjoyed making the world for our game! I would like to make a playable web version but it’s made in Unreal Engine 5.5 and we cannot build it for web/html.

We have a few more systems planned for future updates! Increased player attack abilities, increasing character traits (+25 HP, +20 dmg, etc), random events during gameplay, and more levels to explore!

The horde is relentless! It seemed like there were additional abilities, but I couldn't figure out how to use them. I can tell that you put a lot of thought into building atmosphere. One thing I noticed: After dying, my health bar continued to increase. It never seemed like my health was down to 0 and I actually felt like I had escaped death, but alas... I did not.

The game over screen is placeholder for what we have planned but could not get it done in time for the game jam. We will add abilities and traits that you can unlock when leveling up. Abilities will be new attacks you can preform and traits will be stat increases (+25 HP, +20 damage, etc).
Good eye on the bug with the health bar when your player dies, the health regen is still active when the player dies so the UI keeps updating :P
I just published a new build with bug fix for the intro sequence advancing too quickly and an increase to the player attack speed. Try to kill 100 enemies to fight the Witch, An’kabora!
Super fun game - really enjoyed the overall fell of the game. Would have liked some upgrades/progression to really deal some damage!
Appreciate the comment! The one major feature we were unable to implement in time for the jam was the abilities/traits system; we had the level-up system prepped to handle it, but couldn't quite get the abilities/traits in. That's the first major feature slotted for version 1.0.
