Like the concept, and the idea in the feature that were planned sounds good, especially the tower defense one, where we became the one who invade, kinda reminds me of civilizations wars game.

There might be *bug where the bugs might not spawn from some goo after massive eliminations and a lifehack to shrink the bugs because of that(spamming the layout change).

The art is unique, and the music was rock! Good game!

I rooted for the one who always ran to the green pellets I leave. It got eaten T_T 10/10 great game!

Awww. Yay, I succeeded at anthropomorphising the bugs by giving them each their own traits!! :D Oh no, I'm so sorry it got eaten! D: Hopefully I'll be able to make their world a bit more balanced and fair. :') Thank you very much for playing, I'm glad you liked it!!

So awesome! I love the variety of little bugs and their big eyes, also the music makes it feel like an epic fight for survival among all the bugs rather than peacefully wandering around the plates :) Great job!

It was very intersting and it looked beautiful!

What a cool idea!! I had so much fun feeding, watching, following, and changing the goo.  Really cool concept, I LOVE the art!!!

Nice idea, different from what I've seen! You can go from there and add a lot of things to this game :) I hope you'll continue it!

This was fun watching them all eat and grow, nice work! :)

The sprites are great. I love how you went a different direction and made a simulator, that's not easy.

Cool idea!!!

Thank you! Cool comment! :D

Really cool music and art style, the concept seems super interesting, I would love to see it developed further in the future because you had a lot of good ideas.

I've only just learned you can set a custom message for running your game! Or microscopic simulation, in this case!

It's a shame you couldn't implement your full vision for this, but these things happen in jams for sure. I like how needlessly intense the music is for looking at and feeding microscopic bugs and I really like the writing of the intro! :D

Great concept. I tried making the bugs as big as possible before de-spawing. Art style is excellent!

Thank you very much!! Haha, I actually reluctantly set a limit on the bug size, because sometimes during testing I kept having a bug get so big that it would just eat all the other bugs in existence, fill the screen, and keep getting bigger and bigger, causing the game to freeze up. I was scared that might happen again, hence the limit on the size. :')

Thank you!! Our artist did a great job. These were actually just the rough doodles - we had more polished art that I unfortunately didn't have time to implement, but I'll get it in when I can!

I love how I'm listening to this kind of music while playing with micro stuff. It feels like I'm a higher being and I can see them fight each other for food. I'm just sad that my biggest creature got pushed outside by a really small one D:

Developer(+1)

Hehe, I'm so glad the music was a good fit! :D I tried to request music that would be fitting for the vibe, and our composer was thinking along the same lines and did a really good job at creating the music.

Aww, I'm sorry about your creature! D: Yeah, unfortunately I didn't have enough time to get them to play nicely with each other - they push each other instead of eating each other, and they don't respect each other's size! Bad creatures. Maybe I'll teach them better in future!

Other than that, I'm glad it sounds like you had a good time! :)

Do science while listening to heavy metal? count me in xD It looked super clean and satisfying to watch the little critters. I was unable to find out, how t win (if there is a way), but i realy liked the simulation! Well done! :)

Developer(+1)

Yeah, our composer did a really good job with the music!! Glad you liked it! :) I thought it'd be a good idea to have some 'dynamic' music, that changes based on what's happening onscreen - the music gets more action-y when you've got the carnivore bugs visible!

I'm so glad you enjoyed watching the critters! Thank you for the kind words! :) Unfortunately I didn't manage to get any 'win' conditions working - I had to reluctantly give up on that on the final day. It was originally supposed to be a game you could win though!

That’s an original game. Nice concept

Thank you very much, I'm glad you thought so! :)
