Just like the others here, I got the vibes from Nier as well. It felt nice and easy, good job. (Ghio)

Oooh, the setup of the environment and camera at the beginning reminded me of NieR Automata.

It's nice to see a stealth game!

Unfortunately I fell through a wall and out of the environment, then got yelled at to get back to my room. :(

The stealth is made trickier by the guards instantly turning around, but I know that would have been extra programming to get working - and honestly, this is impressive for just three days.

I love the main character model!

I've never made a stealth game. Seems like fun.

Now we just need some sneaking music. :D

It sounds like your story is ambitious - I wish you the best of luck with continuing working with it!!

Developer

Yeah, I made this heavily referenced from nier, even the UI. Some collider is missing which make the player going through the wall and added quick fix by placing a trigger to get back to the room, temporarily. The guard is really under developed and I just make it looping each point and added the trigger, Gonna need to make a new one that do what supposed to do lol. The story didn't really match the theme and for a game jam, but yeah, I'll try to develop it further as I like the premise too.

Thanks for the encouragement, and for playing!

Cool game! I like that the perspective shifts to the outside of the facility when you are passing through the hallway. I felt that the enemies turning was too abrupt, But overall an amazing game for 10 days!

Developer

The enemies turning was indeed too abrupt, gonna add some delay before they turning hoping it turn out well. Thanks for the feedback!

Really nice game!

Wow, I love the aesthetics of this game (you even have jiggle physics lol).  Gameplay is simplistic, but I was able to finish it without a problem. I read your story description beforehand so I understood what I was playing. Just like our game, you have no sound, and I totally get why  :) Overall, great entry.

Developer

Thank you! that jiggle physics is from the Vroid itself, it's too much that I wish it was gone lol, didn't bother to edit/remove it cause time limit.

Oooh man I really don't know what to say, I really like this game and it is bothering me a lot how you have managed to achieve that by yourself in a short time, I really like the character controller and the game character is really nice the game is fun to play maybe in the next update consider adding some weapons and so on and even a downloadable ex file will be great because my internet is too slow so I had to wait for couple minutes for the game to load, I like the environment even though in some areas there is some freckling which I think they are fighting for Z index and to play around with the colliders so that the player won't be going through and I really like the main menu it is outstanding, and I really like the way cameras are transitions those are making the game 10x better. Good work :D.

Developer

Thank you!  Tried to build the ex file, but since the conversion is taking a long time, a browser one will do for this jam, further update might added the exe one cause like you say, its take a long time to load the game in browser. There will be a weapon but maybe limited to assassinate the enemies as it was an escape game/stealth game. But its just the intro to the story, so maybe a real weapon can be implemented to fight the enemies. Rushing through the environment, there's missing collider here and there, but yeah, time's ticking and things is working, which will do for the jams. Thanks for liking the main menu too, that's the only thing I make myself lol.

Of course, I understand D and I am glad you did manage to submit the game, I am looking forward to seeing how the game will turn in the near future it's really an interesting project you have been working it has a really nice vibe :)

Some of those camera swings are wicked cool! I need to learn how to do that. I'd love to see an expanded version of this but I understand the time limits. If I could tweak one thing I'd make maybe a second type of robot guard with a different movement pattern.

Developer

Indeed, I was looking tutorial how to make that long ago and found this, literally game changer for me. I modified it to fit the game but the basic is there.
There will be another type of guard securing the place and maybe a security camera in the further update.
Thanks for the feedback!

Hi, congrats on your game! :) Wow, I found the character movement to be very well done, and the camera control was great too! My only criticism of the game would be that I didn't quite understand what I was supposed to do. I spent about 5 minutes trying to enter all the doors and pass through the enemies, but I never reached a place with maybe a weapon, story, etc.

If you have some spare time, please try out my game. It's a classic space shooter from the 80s but with a personal touch. Please leave your honest feedback.

Developer

Thank you! There's a lot of things is not implemented because of time limit and I forgot to put the objective in the game which is understandable.

Will do!

Cool game. I would like to have some interactions with your surroundings. ^^

When I got to the second level and I ran through the door when you go outside the room and then left, I can run through the texture and die.

Developer

There should be a puzzle to collect like a key to open the door, and sneak attack the soldier, but couldn't implement it due to the time limit.

Yeah the map is still some missing collider, I plan to change it as well to match the puzzle too.
Thanks for playing!

The game looks nice. The movement is a bit slidy, when you walk for long enough, the character go forward a bit after releasing the walk button. One of the soldiers in the prison's second room went through wall. If this isn't some space technology at work, then it is definitely a bug.

Looking forward for more.

Developer

Actually, I intend to make the player move that way to make it more lively/ smooth. I guess it didn't work well in this case. Don't know whether I will change it or not, but thanks for the feedback!

And yeah, that's a bug.

The plot seems super interesting, has a lot of potential based on the script you put on google docs. The movement feels super smooth and I like that it's played like a stealth game to avoid the soldiers.

On the downside I faced some problems with colliders and fell into the void losing immediatly, this happened to me on the rooms with soldiers, particularly on corners. Another issue for me was the camera, there are some corridors in which you can't see the character for a brief moment and hit some walls or pillars that can get you a bit stuck, but this more of a personal appreciation, maybe others won't find this as an issue.

Nevertheless it's a super good experience with lots of potential, keep it developing as it seems promising.

Developer

Thank you! I have noticed some corners & walls are missing the collider and added a boundary outside in case you're falling it will reset the scene temporarily. And the player hit the walls might because there's no collider yet to limit player movement. Gonna fix this later when the jam end as I plan to make a different map.

Planning to develop it further as I like the story too.

The game have a potionent.Great job

Sliding guards got me every time :)

Really like the camera movement in the game and the player controls are very smooth.

Cool game idea! and amazing progress in a span of 3days. Please do continue the game. It would be fun to play this game again once it's finished.

Also camera movement is a bit slow, can't immediately see incoming enemies.

Good job!

Developer(+1)

Fixed the bug where the camera isn't transitioning correctly  & increase the camera transition speed.
Thanks for playing!

Nice work!

Submitted(+1)

This one nice little stealth game. The camera transition is nice, but it is too slow. I prefer camera motion in Duke Nukem Manhattan Project more.

There is not much to say about the unfinished game and the story isn't much fitting in the gameplay.

But the use of assets are nice, of course the anime character in the game works really well.

Developer (2 edits)

Checked Duke Nukem Manhattan game and yeah, I guess the camera is too slow. I made it referencing nier automata but not noticing the speed of the camera is really fast there as well.
As for the story, I think I overcomplicating it and made it not fit for the jam and become a story for a long play game or the lack of cutscene in the game which make it a bit weird and unrelated. I posted the script of the story that's supposed to be in a cutscene in the linked description.

Thanks for the input!
