Fun

Not bad considering. Pretty simple, but I wasn't confused or annoyed ever. The ghost mechanic was neat.

Aesthetics

The art and style look good. No complaints

Music

None as far as I am aware

Sound

None as far as I am aware.  Would have been a huge step up.

Mechanics

The walking and jumping speed actually felt pretty good.  Might want to move slightly faster, but it isn't bad as is if platforming isn't the goal.

Story

None as far as I am aware

Theme

The death mechanic was pretty unique. I could see a lot of puzzles here. Swapping back and forth between dimensions but using death to facilitate it is refreshing. Well done.

I think there is potential here. Get some sounds, music, and puzzles and you could have a winner.

Developer

Thx for your feedback,  very detailled and motivating

Great job on your first game jam! Fun little platformer and a great take on the theme. Sound and Music would amplify this project a lot but still a great submission!

Good Job for your first Game Jam. That was a full game with a nice level design. Missed having the sound effects but will be a great goal to make sure you get in on your next Game Jam. Awesome Job! Keep up the great work.

Hey,

very nice game! had a lot of fun playing it!

i love the graphics. But the main character looks a bit grumpy :D

Very nice submission to the Jam!

it would be nice if you would test and rate my game too if you had the time :

Developer

"But the main character looks a bit grumpy".

Lol yes, you are right :D  I will see if I can make her more friendly

Thx for playing.

I like the switching between ghost and human mechanic! I'd like to see more from that side of the game. Great job getting this together!

Very fun mechanic, switching back and forth between human and ghost.

Cool transition to a ghost, dope!

I thought you did a great job on this game, it was fun and I really liked the concept. I also thought the ghost levels looked especially nice and I liked the colours you used. Well done for sticking to the theme :D

My two cents - I think because the human character can jump but the ghost can't it feels like it's missing the ghost's jump mechanic, whereas if both couldn't jump it wouldn't feel like anything was missing. Other than that and the sfx/music (as others have mentioned) I think this is a really great game with a lot of potential! :)

Thx for the feedback.

I have the same feeling with the ghost. And in fact it's restricting the level design a lot. I will try to allow the jump or maybe add some kind of flying ability.

Submitted

Good stuff! I think that would add a lot to the gameplay as well :)

Keep up the great work!

This has some great potential to be a long, fun, addicting game. Great job! :D

Its an interesting idea, swapping between two charachers on death, fits the theme quite well. I think if the ghost had more to differentiate it from the player, as not being able to jump really restricts the level design for the ghost parts, as well as making a clearer link between where the person and the ghost levels link. Though overall it was very well made, the levels were clean and satisfying, and the player movement felt good. Great job!

Thank you very much for your feedback.

Fun game, I hope you carry on with it after the jam

Developer

Thank you :)

Yes I will try to improve the mechanics and add some levels.

Good job with your submission! I think there's a good foundation here with the mechanic to be expanded on.

Cool art style and gameplay!

I wanna play more! Please make more levels and add music/sound :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing :)

I will add sounds after the voting period, because I don't know if it allowed by the game jam rules.

I like the mechanics, levels are nicely designed. I feel like a little bit of sounds and music would make this game even better.

Keep up to good work!

Nice game. I liked the switching worlds.

Submitted

The Levels are nice designed. What confused me was, that you spawned at a total different level or level-area. I would suggest for future levels to make like a shadow part of the actual level?  That would be awesome! :)

Please, if you have the time, play and rate my game :)

Developer

Thanks for your feedback. I will try to achieve this in a futur update.

I played from start to finish... Great idea switching from alive to dead, and you're a pretty good level designer! Keep up the good stuff, nice game!

A nice suicidal platformer ;-) Great job for your first game jam. I went to the end and had a nice time playing it. I would add some animations, VFX and SFX to improve the game feel, but it is a interesting mechanic and a good game!

Submitted

really nice concept

Developer

Thank you

Good effort on your first game the obvious thing that would have added to your game is SFX even just a jump one and a swoosh for the ghost. I like the ghost world changes to the levels.

Developer(+1)

Thank you.

I had planned to do it, but I ran out of time.
