I really liked the mood and the visuals, the theme inception was really interesting as well, great job!
btw if you can play the game that I made and give me some feedback I really appreciate it :)
That was sci-fi-style trippy, I like it!!
Nice take on theme, really relaxing!
When you slow it down it seems a live painting, but when you speed it up it seems like to jump directly in hyper-space!!
Good job on choosing the music, the track fits perfectly with the mood.
Have you tried to project it on a wall?
Interesting concept, I liked the audio and visual art. I think that probably an additional functionality can be added when clicking a star, like a zoom-in or playing a cinematic (but that is only an idea).
A great mood piece, playing it in a dark room just lights up the whole room too, have you tried doing that in your own house?
One suggestion - maybe clicking on different coloured stars plays different music - well that's my silly idea on how to amp things up anyway.
And even more ramped up - allow the player to map their own music choices to different colours. Ok I'll stop now :)
Hehe unexpected :)
This game is the one I played most so far :)
Great submission!
It could use a "pause" function and maybe some slider giving feedback on the speed scale (bonus if it can be turned on and off).
Otherwise it certainly looks great!
(I could well imagine this being the menu screen of some other game ;) )
Really nice twist on the theme, full marks for that! Nice visuals and audio.
Peace!
Thank you so much. ๐
Very interesting concept. Could expand on it and add features like adding your own music and maybe some special effects when you click your mouse on screen (ie like ripples in water effect which could maybe be set to move and appear based on the musics rythm or beat) and even add some playing functionality like tap mouse to rhythm correctly to unlock new screens and effects. Great submission.
Thank you so much. Really appreciate the detailed feedback. The ripple effect idea is really cool. Would love to explore the possibilities. I am currently planning to expand upon it. Might turn it into a full fledged game.
This is a really creative concept and is very relaxing. I love the look and feel to this. Well done. I played it (if you can call it playing :P) on my live stream tonight and if you wanted to see you can check a replay anytime. Not sure how helpful it is though since theres no gameplay but people liked it.
Thank you sooo much. ๐ Really glad you liked it.
Thank you for the feature in the video. I watched it. Loved your candid reaction and thoughts :D Really appreciate the support and the feedback.
Relaxing indeed :)
Glad you liked it :)
Very interesting, I'm glad I came across this one! Unique idea, very hypnotizing. The music definitely added a lot to the experience.
Yess. That was the intention, to let the player have a relaxing hypnotic experience. Really glad you liked it. Thanks for the support. ๐
Intresting approach. Relaxing indeed!
Glad you liked it. Thanks for the support. ๐
So you spent the entire jam making a super dope particle effect? Alright, I can appreciate that. There is a zen to this experience. The music and graphics are very nice. I might recommend a static background for the game page. The stuttering gif (when it loops) was a little disorienting.
Thank you so much for the detailed comment. ๐๐
I actually spent the majority of the jam time just being indecisive ๐ Only started playing with particle effects in the last 2-3 days to achieve something beautiful, and here we are. Really glad you liked it.
Also, I checked it out. You're right, the looping gif really does kinda ruin the vibe when not playing the game in fullscreen. Replaced it with a static image. Thanks for the valuable feedback.
After trying the speeding up and down just to see what the visuals look like(felt like I was high lol) then I actually closed my eyes and meditated for a while, thanks for the nice music made me very relaxed :)
Hahaha :D
That's exactly the user experience that I wanted to achieve. Really glad to know you caught the vibe to the fullest. And thank you so much for the support. ๐ Feel free to come back to it whenever you feel like having the meditative experience again. :)
Love this, visually pleasing and very relaxing. Definitely a unique take on the them, great submission!
Thank you sooo much. ๐๐
I actually really liked this! You met the brief in a round about way... there is a little interaction with regards speed love it when you turn it up high btw!!
Not a game but a nice thing in it's own right!
Thank you soo much. ๐ Extremely happy to know that you enjoyed it.
I like it and I realized that there is no voting category as "Idea" or similar, and this make me thinking - what is really game jam about? Is it about our creativity and speaking about something, or is it about creating a piece of code that is fun to play? Because if second, then we should all make shooters! Everybody loves to shoot :D
To be honest - my game is also pretty far from topic, and more "gameplay" thingy, despite my first ideas. But I very much like you're approach and I'm happy that we also have here among submitted games, something more conceptional.
And I think it would be very cool to put it on a big projection in gallery room!
BTW. You made it by particle effects?
Thank you so much. ๐๐ Super glad to know that you loved it. I can imagine, it would definitely have a very spiritual effect if it were to be put on a big projection.
And you're right, there could have been a separate category for creativity etc. But I guess out of the four rating categories, the 'mood' is what already most closely relates to what you're talking about. And the overall mood is what this submission of mine succeeds in setting. To be really honest, I didn't expect such an amazing response from everyone. Really happy to see how a minimalist concept has turned out so beautifully well.
Planning to play and rate all the games submitted in the jam. Will let you know when I check out yours, very soon.
And yes, made it using Unity's particle effects. โจ
the file is labelled up as including Mac build, but i can't seem to see it in there, any thoughts?
Unprofessional on my side. Extremely sorry. Can't believe I completely overlooked it. I've added the WebGL version, you can play it in the browser. Please let me know if you run into any other problems.
Well it looks and sounds nice.
I get the concept you were after, of a none game relaxing environment, but the lack of doing anything made me more anxious :D.
Thankss. ๐
Hahaha ๐ Well I guess I can use this as a foundation and build upon it in the future, adding some gameplay and more options for interaction. It is as it is for the game jam now. But would definitely want to expand upon it later on.
