Very interesting… the game itself is cool, but the wrapper around it is highly unappealing. It wasn’t obvious what to click on in the menu, and I couldn’t figure out if there was a way to exit the game loop and get back to the “menu”. I did figure out sorta the trick to it, where clicking the next spot before the character has reached the previous spot allows you to move faster to avoid things, which is a cool mechanic. Inside the game the visuals, music, and SFX are all pretty great! Well done on that, it’s just the menus that could use work!
I think I got a stroke looking at the menu. The game itself is actually quite fun, but difficult! I like that you give visual queues before the beams and explosions, making it possible to actually evade them before they appear. that being said, I didn’t last long before dying.
"Quit this game" it told me. Phew! The music was almost great, but too loud and sounds were too chaotic. Maybe not by accident. I'm not sure if I should be dying faster ...or trying to avoid death?
I think my character died. Not sure if it's right to say it was fun. But I don't wanna sound like a sociopath. I did managed to reach the second stage, and that is only as far as I could go. The visuals and sounds are nice, I like watching them lasers and explosions while on game over screen. Hehe.
I really wasn't sure what to do at first so I definitely died. Overall pretty cool though!
Maybe add a tutorial (or explain the click-to-move). Also you probably want to add a seizure warning for people with epilepsy what with the flashing visuals.
