I liked the retro GBA palette. Big fan of that style. Jump feels a bit floaty for my taste but other than that, great work!

Wow-what a brilliant intro and such a nice art style. There were a few moments with weird collisions but apart from that, I had a lot of fun with this.

The game's art style is great! I love the color palette and many of the sprites look pretty detailed. The gameplay was mostly enjoyable, but I do think that the controls are a tad bit slow. Nonetheless, I still think this is a good and enjoyable game. Great work!

game story and graphics are awesome :)

Your game looks great - there are some really well-designed sprites and fun animations - and has a nice gameplay style. I had the same issues as others where I was killed by enemies that were already dead, but it didn’t take away too much from the fun of the game :)

Awesome graphics and story, however I couldn't finish the game because of the big bomb on the last level. Since you get killed by the exploding animation, the time window to pass is really small.

Very slick visuals, and it’s very satisfying to take out enemies. Like others have said, sometimes I got killed by enemies who were in the process of dying – easy fix would be to have their collisions stop at death, but this could also be reworked into a cool gameplay element with slugs and worms thrashing around as they’re dying and being even more dangerous for a few seconds.

Really really nice job! I really love the game boy art style and narrative. The sound fx are great too. I like the way you approached the level design. Clearly a lot of work went into this game!

There were some visual bugs (no pun intended) like when shooting to the left the bullets bounced off the enemy to the right. Also the controls feel a bit stiff. But I'm nitpicking. Overall the game is great, especially when considering this is your first game jam, and completed it in 3 weeks!

Amazing art and enjoyed the addition of the story! Gameplay was fun but I had some similar issues as others where I was getting hurt from seemingly already dead enemies.

Love the project! gorgeous animations, super smooth and the colour scheme is outstanding! The difficulty curve is certainly there and I appreciate that! My one fix would be after killing some enemies they can still damage me if I run into them before they've completely de-spawned but I love the animations of everything involved

I like the humor, the art style, the quirky story, and the music at the start made me feel like I was playing a final fantasy game. It agree with others that it is not obvious that during the enemy's death sequence they can still hurt you which caught me off guard a few times. Also, that first level during the stomping part, I did not see a shadow or any indication that something was about to come down. It would be nice if we can see a shadow on the ground or something like that to give the player time to react :D

neat pixel art, cool old-school platformer! maybe collision detection was too strict to me (i was killed by enemies that are already in dying animation?), but overall enjoyed the gameplay :) nice work!

Really love the art! The intro cut scene was fun and well done. I especially liked the the hero’s suit up and driving shot! And the art in the level is really good, simple but with plenty of detail and attention. Your style is great!

Oh man I love these retro graphics and the intro was amazing (I usually skip those). If only the controls got some more love. I died a couple of times due to apparently already shot worms. Since I kept dying and had to replay the level I could not get to the next level which I can see on the screenshots has some very interesting mechanics added.

Really cool style, animations, super cute designs, and a nice sense of humor. The controls need to get used to but overall love it.

The art and plot of the game are very charming. I never was able to make it to the final boss, as there was this dropping bullet that always went too fast for me to make it through. If you decide to work on this again, one thing I would change is disable colliders of enemies and explosions a bit earlier upon death. Overall though, a very cute game with a bit of personality.
