I like the music, sounds great. The shop screen is a little bit confusing, doesn't look like a shop. Mechanics are simple but game itself is entertaining. Good job!

We also have an entry, it would be great if you check out our game!: https://mapedorr.itch.io/machinaria

Developer

Yeah, the shop was supposed to symbolize Plant-Man's headquarters. ^^
Thanks for your feedback! :) <3
I'll check it out! :)

Very funny game. I hate this alien shooter plant (in a good way). Music is very good. I really enjoy play this game.

Developer

Thank you very much! :) <3

Music is great! Art style is weird (in a good way). Awesome work!

I do think the shooting should have a small cooldown (then you can buy upgrades to remove it) and a range limit. You can write a macro on your keyboard/mouse and destroy all the enemies

Thanks!!! :) <3
Yeah, actually the tendril was planned as a close-range attack. But that did not turn out to be a good solution. It has proved to be very bulky and difficult due to the simple movement.
I also thought about a cooldown, but I liked the buttonmashing in the end. ^^
But overall I can understand the criticism very well. ;)

Music is great! Doesn't make sense to die in one hit, but that's easy to change :)

Developer

Thanks. :)
In "Arcade Mode" I wanted to get the old "I'll pull all the coins out of your pocket"-feeling.
The more modern mode is the "Casual Mode". Where you can continue as long as you like. :)

I agree with midisaurus, it's nice that the game is kind of hardcore but i found it frustrating to go back to the beginning at every misstep. Otherwise it's pretty good. Did you do the music?

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thanks. :) Yeah, i did the Music too. Hope you like it. :)
Also again for you ^^:
Maybe the "Casual Mode" is  more something for the first time playing. You go to the shop after every death and not back to the title screen. ;)

That's sweet, do you host your music on soundcloud?

Developer(+1)

I have not thought about that yet. ^^
But you can download it from my webside if you like. :)

Developer

I will do that. :)
Thanks for your Feedback. ;)

The game might be more fun if you can get hit more without dying.

In "Arcade Mode": You can buy more lives per round in the shop after every finished level.
In "Casual Mode": You'll be sent to the shop after every dead and can collect coins and buy upgrades until you are ready to finish the level. ;)
