Awesome job on creating such a polished game. I enjoyed playing it quite a bit. I found the bumping-into-walls noise a tad annoying, but this is most likely due to the fact that it would play excessively when the browser version would cause the player to move on its own and repeatedly bump into walls. I really dig the music track though, sweet job on that.

Check out my game if you get a chance! https://itch.io/jam/game-off-2018/rate/338739

I liked the whole atmosphere, but unfair sometimes in higher levels like I always die XD but other than that, good entry for sure. feels polished!

This is a shockingly well-crafted game! Probably my favorite I've played in this game jam so far, even though I think it could use some work.

I had tons of fun running around the caves and learning all the systems you put together. The UI is implemented so seamlessly, and the simple animations are perfect. It's a game that's just very easy to sink long periods of time into. And I actually enjoy the simple "bumping" combat quite a bit. It reminds me of a game called Loot Rascals, which I'd highly recommend checking out if you haven't already.

I do have a couple questions. The biggest one is what is the point of using the pick axe to remove the walls? Since gold is the main currency here, I figured you could somehow find gold by "mining" in the cave, but it never happened for me that I could tell. Also, is it just me or do the equipment and health potions seem ridiculously expensive? For the tiny amounts of gold I was picking up off of enemies, I couldn't imagine affording even the cheapest of armor. Lastly, I couldn't tell if there was a "goal" to this game. Am I trying to reach a certain depth in the cave? Am I looking for something? Trying to kill something? It would be great to know where I'm going and why.

The more I like something, the more feedback I tend to have for it. :) I hope you keep working on this game!

Hello, I'm very happy to hear your comment :D

In this project I wanted to introduce a lot of different mechanics, but they couldn't be implemented, because of the time. I plan to put the gold in the future and even add another type of coin.

The game is very inspired by the game "Caves" that is for android, but it has and will have several differences.

Answering your questions:

What is the meaning of pickaxe?
It's being able to enter parts that you can't enter. And I also wanted to implement minerals, but I haven't been able to do that.

Also to say that everything is very expensive, because the game lacks to be balanced. xD

Also the game of the moment does not have end, it is only to advance and to advance. In the version of github I have implemented (a little) the theme of achievements.

At this time I should not update the entry to include features as it would be like cheating, then I will update it after the jam finishes.

I will also continue working on the game, I will release a version for pc and also for android :)

Thank you

That's an awesome game. Art style and music are very good.

Html version is somewhat broken though. Character moves on its own when I enter any menu.

If I think in chrome happens that and in firefox does not happen but there are problems with the sound ... I think it's better to download it... Thanks for playing it :)

A great roguelite, I have put hours into this game, and feel like I'm not done yet. Excellent job!

Developer

Thank you very much for your comment. The game is infinite xD (for the moment). I'm going to continue the development of the game, but I shouldn't modify the entry before the jam is over. Thanks.

Very nice mix of many gameplay styles. The different menus work nicely and the rpg element are well put together. If the combat was slightly more dynamic than moving against enemies, it woud be perfect! Good job :)

Yes of course, later I want to put more forms of combat such as bows and magic and more things. Thank you very much for your comment :)

There's a bug... When you exit, the data is not saved correctly. I will upload the hotfix at night and probably the html5 version.
