  • Well done. You used a lot of good game design principles in this game, most notably how the final boss uses elements from all 3 earlier bosses to create a much more engaging fight. Issues: -The movement controls were too slow and slippery, which made the combat less fun and more tedious. -Your weapon felt like it didn't have much impact and some of the bosses maybe had too much health. Overall, Nice little game with thought put in to the game design, but could have done with some more playtesting and polish.
  • As this was a first time game jam I can see that scope may have gotten away from you. Nevertheless, you've got a solid sprite style and the unique mechanics were well done. I like their animations. The hitpoint system was unfortunately very unbalanced in my opinion but that comes out in the playtesting. Your level layout was too basic and no background art hurt your score there. But it was a solid attempt overall and I think you did a good job by submitting.
  • Congratulations on your completed entry into the Fireside's first ever Game Jam!

I liked the concept and how the last boss is a combination of the other three, but I'd prefer faster movement and some visual feedback for the enemies getting hurt. I also couldn't get the dash and the health potion [?] to work. Overall though, nice game!

This was a fun little game with some fun ideas. I liked that the last boss was an amalgamation of the first 3, which made the game feel like it had a good curve. I thought the animations were good for the most part, but I might rework the sword a little. I think the followthrough on the slash is good, but to have it feel the best to the player, it would be better if clicking made the slash full imediately, and then it kind of goes away more slowly (If that makes sense)   Also, to make the dash a bit more useful, I think it would be good if you were invincible while doing it.  I beat the game without ever really needing to use it.  A suggestion for your AI as well, I think it would be a good idea for the enemies that bounce around the room to have it so that every so often it changes to a random trajectory to keep the player on their toes. When  I beat  the red guy, he ended up in a pattern where he just bounced mostly straight up and down making him pretty easy to beat. Overall though, great job for your first jam!

I couldn't get far on this one it felt like one hit and I was back to the start again, I guess that rejuvenation?

It's a pretty cool concept and I  love all the unique enemy AI in your game. The weapon swinging animations are really great and I like the sword swinging, though I  will say I really couldn't tell if it was doing any damage. I also felt a bit frustrated when The weapons would take me out in one hit. Also, was space supposed to dash for me? I couldn't get that to work.

honestly i didn't understand what i should do in the game, i didn't even know if i was damaging the monsters with my weapon or not because there is no effects or health bar for the monsters to tell, so i don't really know what's the game about :c

It wasn't very clear what each boss was giving you as an upgrade, and I'd have liked faster movement. But otherwise the bosses were mechanically interesting and telegraphed their attacks nicely. I liked the overall structure of the game, where you could just go straight for the final boss if you didn't want the upgrades. well done

Not sure what it had to do with rejuvenation but I didn't find any bugs and I was able to beat it fairly easily so thats a plus. I wish there was a little more to it than just the sword swing. Boss rushes are cool but a little more variety in the stages for each boss would have gone a long way.

From what I understand, Zombie whose goal is to turn human again, undead to alive, i.e. rejuvenate.
