Felt slow at first but gets tricky fast. Some extra move speed or jump height might make it feel more responsive, but regardless it’s a cool way to invert Tetris.

really neat game with really cute art! nice job! :3

I like this concept! The beginning is a bit slow for my liking but when it speeds up I love climbing up the blocks to stay up top. The cat hats are cute as well!
Not sure of the purpose to the lives since it resets you back the beginning, maybe if it could let you continue a run as well as the score penalty?

Fun concept, liked the floaty jump, think the platforming could do with a little variety so keep it interesting - enjoyed my time with it. Graphics were nice, liked the lava sin wave and the cat and hats were very cute!

Overall a pretty fun time. Reminded me of some classics from coolmathgames and the such. The hat system also reminded me of Boxboy. I personally didn’t use the speed up, but I was playing at a pace that felt right for me. My only complaint is the mixed mouse and keyboard controls. It wasn’t clear why some things wouldn’t work with the keyboard, at least to me.

The core gameplay is really quite fun, but there are a couple details I think could be improved. Firstly, the lack of keyboard controls in the game end menu or shop is quite annoying. Also I'd appreciate some sort of tutorial, as it's not clear when the solid platform will sink, and I didn't realise I could loop around until my second attempt. Lastly, a minor detail I think could really improve the game, it would be cool if the falling blocks in the background matched what is upcoming, so the player can plan ahead of time.

Overall though I had a fun time, would love to see this updated further.

Thanks for the feedback, I'm glad you enjoyed it! You raise some good points, I'll keep them in mind for future updates

Hey, that's a really cool idea. I like games that successfully combine two existing mechanics into something new.  Having unlockable hats is a nice touch. I think that game has the potential to be a cool mobile game! Good luck to you!

Real neat idea. Loved the platformer, survival, Tetris mix. It worked well together. The art was nice as well especially the Tetris animations and the run effect. The music was nice too. Well done on this!

this would make a great mobile game! I mean, it's probably the aim anyway, considering the vertical orientation. it is really fun to play right now, sound design is also really well done. the biggest problems are cat's movement being not the most responsive, and visuals looking a bit inconsistent, I think tetris pieces should also look hand-drawn and it will make it look much more appealing. the main thing I wanna tell you though, is that this game really has this catchy idea that I really like, and with some more polish - I'd even play it on my phone, and lots of people would

Developer

thank you for the encouragement and feedback, I really appreciate it!

would you mind describing what exactly made the movement feel not so responsive? I'd like to improve it if possible

Hi, sure! I revisited the game to focus just on that, and I think it boils down to cat's movement speed. It just feels like he should move faster. like you see yourself on the plaform, you see a falling platform on the other side, and your brain just goes "I can make that jump" based on our previous experience with platformers, but in the end you can't, your movement is just too slow to do it. like maybe there is thought behind this decision, maybe it has to encourage  more tactical thinking, but on the background of all the different platformers it just feels off and gives that feeling of bad response.

Developer

Thanks for clarifying, I've gotten a similar feedback before. Just one more thing, were you aware of being able to hold Lshift or K to run and jump faster? Or did the cat still feel too slow even with that functionality? I appreciate your time

Nice game :)

The combination of Tetris and platform jumping is refreshing, and the cartoon hand-drawn cats are so cute. It feels like there are a lot of interactive mechanisms that can be extended, such as buying accessories with special effects, or adding trampolines, conveyor belts on platforms, etc. Overall, it's a fun game and has potential.

Quite a fun high score game! I really like the sprites for the cats. The falling tetrominos idea as platforms is pretty good. Honestly, can't think of much else to say, a solid game! Great job! :)
