Nice game with a lot of potential for other stuff, keep up the good work!
Thank you for playing :)
Interesting idea and concept, the text was a little hard for me to read and I found the crowd noise loop a tad annoying.
Graphically it was simple but effective - interested in a fuller version of this, think the feeling of guilt could be utilised nicely and have some very compelling narratives.
Nice job!
Thank you for playing and for the feedback !
Very cool game :)
Thanks :)
Good job for such a quick turnaround! I got some major papers please vibes from this. Perhaps would benefit from the extra world building since after a while, I just felt like seeing if they had 2/3 favor to decide on execute or grace. The interface could also use some work as it was pretty hard to read, but overall the game came out well.
Nice idea and a pretty solid implementation!
I think it deserves more polishing -- it was a bit hard to read the text. Also adding separate UI elements for each of people/army/politics would help to keep track of where you stand with each side. The easier it is to track your status in the game -- the nicer it is to play.
Wish you luck with this and other projects!
really cool idea! You should keep going with it
Thanks :)
It's in my plans for later !
First off, nice work for your first published game! I liked the pixel art especially for the guillotine and the sound effects throughout the game.
Feedback:
I wish the prompts were varied out of order. I realized it was the same every time I refreshed the page, which makes it easier to just memorize the patterns instead of playing the game.
Although another note, later on I found myself just mainly focusing on who likes what more and who dislikes what more than the other causing me to just focus on those details ignoring the prompt.
It would have been nice if there was a mechanic that made the choice like a puzzle or a riddle of some sorts.
A nice idea off the top of my head that would have been nice is if it was an equal amount of people disliked and liked for a harder choice to decide.
Overall nice work on the game though!
Thanks you for playing and for the feedback.
The concept of the game will be improve upon later on :)
the idea for this game is so unique! like literally, I can't even imagine myself just sitting in my room and going "Hey, I wanna make a game where you operate a guillotine and your own life depends on whether or not you kill wrong people", like so creative lol! Liked it a lot!
Thanks, happy to see that you liked it :)
Congrats on your first published game! I quite like the idea. I think it would've been nice if there was a different ending based on which group you pleased or angered the most.
Well done, hopefully you make more games in the future! :)
Thank you for playing !
I'll add endings in later upgrades :)
Interesting idea and cool execution (hehehe). I think the decisions are interesting. You did a great job on your first game. I also think it was smart to change the idea after you noticed that a SHMUP would be too much work.
Thank you for playing and for the kind words :)
(and the pun ofc)
I agree with the last comment!
If you want to make it, I would really love to play a more polished version of this someday! I'll be there.
Thanks, and yes I do plan to redo the game at some point.
Interesting concept. The text was sort of hard to read for me, I think maybe spacing it out would be better (with some newlines maybe for dislike/like). Perhaps some more information about places and people on mouseover would be good (through a pop-up or something), and that would better help the decision.
Thank you for playing the game and for the feedback !
