Cool fun short game. I really like the fast paced defending, collecting and attacking mechanic. I also liked that you added a score at the end for competition.

Developer

Thank you! Glad the mechanics played well together~

Nice short game! Really like the idea and it's executed quite well! Well done! :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Glad to hear it felt well executed c:

That's a nice little game! I can imagine playing something like this on a phone in subway 👍

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Glad to hear it fits for a quick play format 🚇📱

Nice! I'm one of the people who organise the 20 Second Game Jam and it's great to see a 20-second game being developed and pushed further. All the elements of this game fit together very nicely. The gameplay is simple (as any 20-second experience should be) with a fun theme, good art style and lively music that keeps the energy up. Good work!

Developer

Oh hello! Thanks for organizing the jam! Thanks for all the kind words~

fun game, I like the beaver theme! Also cool that you have a scoreboard. If i had to nitpick, I think attacking trash makes you slow down too much, which is brutal for the free play, but for the first 20 seconds its alright. nice work!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! That’s a great point! I didn’t think about it, but perhaps the attack time should also scale with the game speed or the point total so it doesn’t become more punishing than it’s worth.

Nice little game, the scoreboard is a nice addition (I'll comeback and played it until I'm N°1)

Developer

Thank you! Good luck, I’m sure you can get first place 🥇

Fun quick snack of a game! Really liked the music and general presentation. The beaver theme is interesting, maybe you could expand the concept to have the beaver build a dam, collect materials, etc. while defending his home. Differently shaped river beds, currents and whatnot.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Glad you liked it. I never thought of having different shaped river beds, but that’s a great idea I should’ve considered.

this game was fun but I feel like you could turn this into a mobile game

Developer

Thanks! Do you have any suggestions for doing so? 📱

Fun cutesy game. Want to bash more fish :D

Developer

Thanks for playing! Go get those fish!

This was cute. I think the concept works for this type of game pretty well. I liked the music and visuals. As I was thinking “hmm it would be cool if you could do a tailflip on trash”, I pressed Space and sure enough the beaver flipped around. It could be made more viable by stopping the player and doing the flip, with maybe some ending lag so you can’t spam it.

Glad you liked the mood of the game! Thanks a lot. I did consider doing a traditional attack versus the attack stance. I ended up choosing the attack stance because I liked the tradeoff that you can’t collect fruit/logs/clovers while in that stance. Not sure if it comes across, but I thought it was a worthwhile spin nonetheless.
