It was good, apart from the long unskippable dialogue which others have already stated.

Parrying before getting into a fight is a must since the moment you walk into an enemy, they will attack you on the first frame. Then spam left-click till it dies.

Very nice combat system, loved the graphics and the sound/music. Like others said, the ONLY thing dragging the experience down is the long and unskippable intro which makes restarting very painful. I enjoyed the game once the timer started hahaha

I won, like the time pressure and that you allowed for instant movement. The combat system works and game is fun. I wonder if the steps are not just a bit small but it's a detail.

Liked the aestetic of everything, it looked really well-put together. Movement was solid as well, though picking up souls sometimes felt off, since you can enter inside them and it wouldn't be interactable.

Sad about really long intro, though. Found 9 souls, couldn't find first door that probably had one more and really-really wasn't looking forward to read through whole intro for the third time :<. Combat starts to be really simple, once you figure out you can pre-parry attacks so I didn't even need to use any potions because of it. Maybe that wasn't intentional? :]

Yes.. I totally agree with you about the extremely long and annoying text. I found out the annoyance of having to read it without an ability to skip  a bit too late hehe..

You are spot on with the combat! Once you figure out the bad implementation of "pre-parrying" it all kinda gets too easy ..

the game looks really good; the simplicity of the wall texture helps to bring out the enemy sprites! the movement feels different but in a good way, not sure how to describe it tho! imo the text is extremely extremely long so a skip text option would be really nice! additionally a small explanation about how the battle system works would be really great too (for eg: when is the ideal time to parry, etc) but great game! I enjoyed it quite a bit!

You are totally right.. The annoying text in the beginning kinda ruins the experience for most people. I wish I had shortened it and added a skip button. Will do next time! I agree that I should've explained the combat system a bit more aswell hehe..

liked the look and gameplay of this. I appreciated that it had music, but it became a little painful pretty quickly. Movement seemed off compared to my expectations for dungeon crawlers (camera always seemed like half a grid square ahead of where you actually were. I tried it twice but was unable to win I kept getting killed. :)

Overall 2nd best submission of this rating session so far(I think I'm at 10 or 11 tonight)

Cool game theres a few things I noticed you may be interested in:
1. the game is very asethically pleasing

2. talking to the first guy right when the game starts it says "press f to save" instead it should say "press f to talk" 

3. going into the main menu from the game doubles your soundtrack

4. maybe im bad but I kept dying without much way to do better in the battles

Yes.. I should've made it more clear that the player could block with right click, and also not make the player have to listen to boring long dialogue every time he/she dies hehe..

Hey! just played your game, got some feedback as well as some compliments for ya!

1.too much text to read in the beginning, should try to keep it short and sweet

2.annoying that you have to go through that text again after dying, does the saving system not work?

3.otherwise I thought it was cool to have checkpoints

4.finding keys and health felt rewarding

5.time definitively made the game more engaging
