How does the game fit into the theme?
Your snake is always moving forwards, and the level is always pushing on. Also, score collectible value decreases over time, incentivising the player to "keep moving forward" to collect their score as quickly as possible

The game is quite fun, though a bit difficult. Intense music and excellent animation. A surprising twist on the classic snake game. Kinda wished that the game was easier and 180-degree turnarounds are not possible (so that it fits the theme more, and it is more relaxing). Well done!
I'm glad that the snake isn't dying yet, and that there are a lot of new and interesting ideas to come up with.
Everything looks just gorgeous
I really liked the presentation! The art is very polished and looks great, a very nice style. The music is also perfect, energetic, and allows you to enjoy the gameplay the entire time.
A very complete game, excellent work! :D
didn’t you say on discord that you will open source this project or smt?
Yeah I'm still working on that! Got a few things to clean up and strip out e.g. unity leaderboard ids
The music was too good i kept vibing the snek back and forth and kept forgetting i have to dodge heh
That said I think (like 80% sure) the collision on some of the elements was bit outside their visuals so that i was suprised that i was hitting it.
I said this before on Discord, but the game reminds me a lot of another game, "Last Command", and just like that game I also found this game challenging yet fun. The game itself is really tricky especially because it is not just the head of the snake you need to worry about but also the rest of your body, which makes dodging a challenge. The levels are varied and keeps you on your toes, making me have to keep adjusting my movements a lot. The music and artstyle fit the game too, and I especially like the melody of the music you made.
The only thing though is that I do think the unlimited continues take away from the challenge a little bit for me at least. I think instead of unli continues maybe you could create a way for players to just get more lives instead so that they really feel like they earned their extra chances to keep playing. But I still found the game challenging but fun overall so good job!
This is amazing feedback, thank you! In response to the continues, I totally get where you're coming from - but I want everyone to be able to finish the game. To get a high score you'll need to do it without using a continue, because your score gets strongly punished for for using them. It's possible to do deathless, I actually think 200,000 score is within reach! Every time you use a continue, point collectibles are worth 50% less. After you've used 5, they are only worth a flat 1 point as opposed to scaling from 100 -> 10 based on the ring timer
Now that I think of it, I did notice my score is lower with each continue. That's a good touch!
Very fun game, I just wish there was a volume slider (although I can't speak cause I forgot to submit my build which had a volume slider)
This is really cool and satisfying
You went all out with game juice!! Although the idea was simple, I loved playing throw it!
Also, I’m glad the game was so forgiving, I wouldn’t have had the chance to see all the levels if it wasn’t for those extra 100 lives
I really love the text scheme with all the funny letters and numbers! Really fun gameplay, a really awesome rendition of the classic snake game.
I like the music.
i like the combination of mechanics from snake and the unique mechanics you designed. very fun retro feel too!
Its snake what can I say.. But I like the choices for polish... The colours that glow on the dark backrground really pop, the static and scan line shaders set this moodier tone, and the synth that opens the game just gets me pumped. Fun game!
