This game was really great! The visuals and the music sell the deep sea aesthetic well. There's some good variety in not just the types of enemies, but how you placed them too.

Great Game!

I love the aesthetics of this game. Mechanics are simple but fun.

the game is very good, a very simple game, but it delivers everything good.

Simplistic, but unique in its style. Very solid game. Good job!

I liked the music and enemy design, specially their colors

Solid gameplay, impressive visuals, and an immersive soundtrack make this a great little entry!
The sprites are pretty fun to look at, and the enemies and attack variety was very good
I would have liked a way to recover hp (maybe I missed it?), and an implementation of the theme in gameplay

I have to say this is a solid entry! The gameplay feels crisp, there is a great understanding of how a game most feel, the visual feedback when you hit enemies and the implementation of sound is on point! Great use of bullet patterns!

Suggestions!

Would have loved to see more weapons and different bullets for the player, I was not able to implement that in my game either due to time, So I totally understand!

Holy fuck this is amazing!

My first thought was that our entries were kinda similar, then I realized yours is eons better! The graphics look incredible, the controls feel snappy and well planted and the animations and feedback are juicyer than orange juice!

The beam sometimes feels a bit weak, I would've liked if you had a faster fire rate or did a bit more damega.

The music fits well with the atmosphere and the fact that there are levels rather than just one goal or infinite enemies makes everything feel more accomplishing than other games!

Cool game with some nice enemy variety.

I really like the sprite designs, the player sub is cool with its free aim turret arms, and the glowing fish enemies are really a nice stylisation to convey that you are in very deep waters with its strange sealife.

Music is really good as well and fits perfectly with the game's vibe.

Main issue for me is the base gun feels really slow (rate of fire) and there were no powerups to get a better one, it would be nice to either have some or to buff the base gun a little if you prefer having only one weapon.

Other than that it's good, it's fun, and while the difficulty ramps up quite a bit throughout stage 2 i liked that it wasn't just pure insanity from the start of stage 1

Well done :)

Really nice look and feel to this game. Art style look great overall, and music fits nicely into it.

You achieved a lot during the jam time frame, so my improvement notes are more for moving forwards.
Obviously need power ups :), think that's probably been mentioned before.
Bit of balance on how many shots things take to destroy (combined with any power up mechanics above).
Top and bottom sections can be used to hide in a bit at times, especially if you can get ahead of the enemy waves. Consider if this is a keeper, or not. Combined with a thought about the gun, and wether there should be a restriction on how far it rotates backwards (maybe leave a blind spot behind it can't do?).

Great work on this. You've done a really good jam game entry, one of my favs. But also built a strong base to build from to take this game further.

Very nice! I like the glow effect on everything and the underwater theme. There seemed to be a strange visual glitch when I moved the mouse up and down quickly, but that's probably something to do with Unity WebGL so not much can be done there. Great game though!

I'd love it if you could rate my entry as well :)

Cool music focusing on deep (as in significant not underwater) bass (as in frequency not fish). Visuals are pleasant, but I'm not a fan of scaled-up and then transformed pixel art (I'm more on pixel perfect side and I noticed different scaling ratios here and there right away - but that doesn't negate that it's pleasant in its own way). Good one!

The visuals are really cool, particularly the choice of colors. Audio is great and fitting, animated well, controls well. Fantastic work!

Great minimalist artwork and sound

Excellent !

super cool shmup, I like it. The minimalist visual style is great, and the sound too. I missed power-ups to increase player power of fire. Nice job, congratulations.

This game is so hypnotizing I love it! A big part of that is due to the wonderful soundtrack, that elevates the atmosphere. The art direction is also really neat, and the environment and enemy designs are great. Overall really good experience :)

Great audio (especially the music) and amazing visuals, I love the bloom and particles, though the player hitbox is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too huge, it makes it feel quite unfair for the player since the movement is kinda smoothed (not sure how I would describe it) sadly there's a bug in stage 2 where no more enemies spawn and you basically don't have anything to do which is sad considering how great the game is, I also didn't notice I was taking damage sometimes but that's a pretty irrelevant thing. Overall, great job!
